Audience members experiencing 2nd Childhood can expect:

FUN, first and foremost. Whether dancing or listening, people can expect enjoyable, entertaining music and a personable interactive experience, like eavesdropping on a group of friends having a very good jam session. Listeners can also expect to be treated to unique versions of rock and pop classics.

LAID-BACK ATTITUDE. We don't do music that is hard, heavy, or even particularly rowdy. What we do is mostly "unplugged" versions of pop and rock hits, that are lovingly performed and enjoyable to listen or dance to.

Clients working with 2nd Childhood can expect:

COMMUNICATION - Throughout every step, from initial contact to completion of the event, we will do our best to ensure ongoing communication for maximum clarity of expectations by all parties.

COOPERATION - We will work with you to make sure our services are a fit for your needs. In some cases, such as wedding ceremonies and receptions, we can assist with the order of events and song selection.

COURTESY - We engage with our clients with an attitude of congenial professionalism.

John and Kass Bolles have been performing music together since before they were married. John was lead guitarist and vocalist with Philly-based recording artists Glad, and Kass was singing with a Philadelphia area band called Crosswind. They first met when Kass's band opened for Glad at an area concert. Soon the two began performing as a duo for private parties and civic organizations. They were married while John was still in Glad.

When a John & Kass gig calls for a band, the core of the rhythm section is Brad Currie. Brad began his professional music career with John as an original member of Glad. They recorded two albums with Glad (John singing lead vocal on their first single, "All Things") and appeared on two albums by DC-based singer/songwriter Scott Wesley Brown. John and Brad appeared on television and radio, and toured most of the continental United States.

Post-Glad, John & Kass spent a year and a half doing session work in Nashville for such clients as Tree Publishing, The Music Mill, and custom recording studios.

After returning to the Philadelphia area, Kass worked as a church music director and recording session singer (she sang on several commercials, including the Philadelphia 76ers, Merv Griffin's Resorts, Amoroso's Rolls, New Jersey Lottery, Thunder 102, and Friendly's Restaurants). John and Kass continued to perform on a part-time basis for restaurants, private parties, weddings, civic organizations, and community events at such major northeast venues as the Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, Franklin Institute, Union League, the Downtown Club, Trump Castle, Caesars, Resorts, Guest Quarters, Liberty Park. A highlight for Kass was performing with opening acts for James Taylor and Elton John at the Camden Waterfront Entertainment Center.

John owns and operates Allegra Recording Company, a project recording studio. Kass gives voice lessons and Brad teaches drums and percussion.
