Where do I start? John arrived early, was dressed professionally and appropriately and he performed his heart out. We booked John for 45 minutes of his time to play us three saxophone covers while my wife and I enjoyed our anniversary dinner. I can honestly say that John made our night... he played a gentle melody as we were walking in, he was set up in advance, he allowed us a chance to break in between songs so we could talk amongst ourselves and to the waiter. John played two or three extra songs in good taste. It was a pleasure to have him there with us. I couldn't imagine anyone doing a better job. We look forward to booking him again in the future. Trustworthy, prompt, classy, talented and a down to earth man. Thank you again, John!

John Hughes is a brilliant and exciting sax player with an amazing heart and soul for music. Whether backing up the band or as front runner his ability to take a melody and make it his own makes for not only an entertaining show but an inspiration to those who love music and appreciate someone who can take it to the next level. He's not just playing off the cuff - he is a trained musician, very professional, and a brilliant writer who can both create a masterpiece (only you could write a classical piece about a baby from outer space) and improvise on blues and rock classics in a way that can melt a woman's heart and bring a crowd to its knees.
