John performed at our wedding reception earlier this month and we are so glad we went with him. He had great energy and played so many different songs wonderfully. So many of our friends and family commented on the great music and good vibe. John was so great to work with, too. There were some transportation hiccups about a week before our event that could have prevented him from being able to be there but he reached out and worked with us so that he could attend. We are grateful to have had such a fun, kind, and talented musician to play at our event and we highly recommend him!

We booked John to play at mine and my husband’s 60th and 70th birthday party. John's setlist touch everyone at the party that spanned generations. We had a couple musicians in the crowd and their comments were, "This guy is good!" We will definitely use John again. John thank you for making our party a success.

John played at an indoor/outdoor party for 50; our guests enjoyed the song selections, the appropriate volume level (we're old geezers), his voice is fantastic. His selection of southern rock, country, "classics", contemporary & hits was spot-on.

John hit it out of the park for my father's memorial service , the music was exactly what we were looking for. He was very receptive to what type of atmosphere we were trying to create to honor my father. We picked out the pieces together and John's wide ranging repertoire covered classic hymns to Elvis to Green Day. The music provided the perfect ambience for a classy service honoring my dad's memory. The upbeat Nat King Cole piece ended the service on an upbeat note. Many attendees wanted John's information after the service they were so impressed. I highly recommend this talented artist.

We recently had John out to our resort for an evening of live music, and boy did he deliver! His set list was phenominal, the way his voice transformed the billboard toppers of Harry Styles and Britney Spears to his rendition of Tennessee Whiskey, John worked the stage. To top it all off, he was such an easy vendor to work with, quick to reply and never hard to get in contact with.

John played music for my mother’s memorial service. He did an absolutely incredible job and we highly recommend him! Anybody looking for a solo artist to sing and play guitar should give John a call. A lot of people were asking for his cards after the service because they were so impressed.

There are not enough words and at the saurus to describe the quality professionalism generosity kindness and talent for John Voelz. We found him on the gig salad app we definitely hit the jackpot! Our event had 80 vendors and school population of 3000. Not only did he receive compliments from every person I spoke to at the event but he did not bow out even when the weather started to get chilly. I am so grateful to have met him and cannot wait to partner with him again at our next fundraiser. Thank you again John for making our event enjoyable and keeping our good vibes going 🙌

John has so much talent and is a great guy to work with! He was organized with his quality equipment, had an amazing repertoire and a good sense of what songs would appeal to the crowd of mixed generations (harvest party in the orchard-50 adults, 10 kids). I worked with John to create a memorable, on-location experience culminating in my proposing to my (now) fiancee. After my initial submission through Gig Salad, John was immediately responsive, really easy to work with, and--since the requested song was a duet--found a female singer to accompany him. You can tell that John really cares about the folks with whom he works, and he intuitively contributed to the moment I was hoping we would experience. It was a tender, heartfelt performance, and John even took some really neat pictures of my fiancee and me after the song was concluded, including one "surreptitious" photo that came out incredibly well!

I had a birthday party for one of the doctors at work, I invited family, friends and co-workers. In other words, a very mixed crowd. The reviews I received after the event were top rate! All ages enjoyed him! Looking back on pictures, I did see lots of people hunkered down in front of him, or near by to listen! He was great!

Such a professional, and perfect gentleman, he did the 2 songs I requested, my sister cried, she said it was "amazing". John & Mark were amazing!! We were blown away with their playing, song selection & interaction with the audience! It was such a special treat for my husband’s birthday. He had a smile on his face the whole night! Nearly every guests asked where I found them & were extremely complimentary of John & Mark.

Including John in our small backyard party was the best decision ever. He showed up early, was super nice and so talented. He even stayed late to keep the party going without being asked or expecting additional payment. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. A great talent and a great person. :)

John performed at a community kick off event for the non-profit I run, Folsom's Hope. He did such an amazing job of providing entertainment, just the right level of fun mixed in with the music, and he was incredibly engaging with the crowd. After the event, I heard from many people who attended that the event would not have been so fun and successful had John not been there - I couldn't agree more! Not only is John incredibly talented, but he is responsible, funny, and just overall great to work with!

I manage a brewery in Folsom and have heard John play before, so I asked him to come do a music night at the brewery. The first time was 5 months ago, and I've booked him 4 other times since then because he's That good. John has a voice full of soul that carries over different genres: blues, rock, pop, even a little country. Lynyrd Skynyrd, Britney Spears, James Brown, Tracey Chapman, he literally can play it all. Not only is he an incredible guitarist, but also busted out the banjo, harmonica, and ukulele! John does an incredible job of interacting with the audience and adds humor into his style, which makes you feel like you're already friends with the guy. If you have an event, birthday party, celebration, fundraiser, whatever, he is incredible!

I have had the privilege of seeing John perform at various events: wine bars, restaurants, at my rehearsal dinner, etc. This man has an amazing voice and is seriously talented with the various instruments that he plays: guitar, piano, harmonica..Is there an instrument he doesn't know how to play?? I have booked John to perform at events at my church in Fairfield three different times, most recently about 4 weeks ago. John is not only super talented (how many people do you know who can play the harmonica And the guitar at the same time?), but he is also a gracious and engaging presence on the stage. He has a way of disarming and relaxing people with his humor and easy-going personality. The music he has performed for us has been a mix of originals and covers, including "Heart of Gold" by Neil Young. He's equally great at doing solo sets and working with the house band provided to him. Spring fever had hit hard, yet John Voelz mesmerized my squirmy class of Kindergarteners. He gave them an introduction to music and songwriting, then incorporated their wacky ideas into a brilliant band catchy original song. His talent is off the charts. He reads his audience well, and makes them a part of his performance. Bravo! Five stars!

John was our guest musician for several Service Projects in former eastern bloc countries in Europe, and also in Germany, that we organized for teens of US military in Europe of 500 - 800 students and adults. He brought friends to create a band - all incredible musicians and wonderful to work with. Our students loved John! John's music is heartfelt and authentic from a life well lived and he is supported by a loving and talented family.

John has played at my winery several times. It is a glimpse of something bigger. I’ve booked a lot of acts and it is very rare to catch a glimpse of someone you know will be moving up in the business, John is that guy! Always a hit, he draws a big crowd every time he played.
