I used John for my senior living seafood celebration and it was a great success! He engaged with the residents and played music that everyone loved. He was there early and made sure the sound was loud enough for everyone to hear. I will definitely be using John again in the future.

John Willmarth is a professional music educator, composer, and performer located in Summerville, South Carolina. John began his professional career upon completion of a masters degree in music performance from the University of Iowa with concentration in Jazz Studies in 2000. He has been the director of the Green Wave Steel Bands at Summerville High School since 2012.
As a freelance percussionist, John maintains a busy performance schedule. He performs regularly as a drum set player and percussionist in the area and has extensive experience as a jazz musician. In addition, he is a member of the Charleston Wind Symphony and is a staff musician at Bethany United Methodist Church.
