Jon and Lisa

In the style of The Black Keys and The White Stripes comes Jon and Lisa. They are a husband and wife duo originally from the Midwest, and now residing in the mountains of western North Carolina. This tight knit duo reflect back on over forty years of marriage, bringing an bluesy, hard driven sound with influences of Hendrix and Zeppelin with them. Their original music comes from living on the banks of the Mississippi River, and the people who made a living beside it. From Lake Itasca to New Orleans, the river is in their blood and music. Jon's grandmother Ruth went on tour with a gospel revival, and then played piano for silent movies in a local theater in the early 1900's. Drawing from stories of his relatives handed down over one hundred and seventy years ago, their music tells many stories from the past. Long before online social media became prevalent, stories were handed down from generation to generation by word of mouth, and became ingrained in memories.

We do not currently have a lighting system, so at least some kind of lighting would be required to be provided.
