Joseph Steiner

Joseph Steiner graduated from the University of Idaho’s Lionel Hampton School of Music in Moscow. He has studied with Chris Terracciano, Ed Brown, Daniel Cox, and Daniel Bukvich, among many others. While in high school, Joseph received 1st and 2nd place in snare drum and multiple percussion state solos. During his time at U of I, Joseph involved himself immensely with Jazz Bands, Jazz Choirs, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Vandal Marching Band Drum-Captain, Dancers Drummers Dreamers, as well as many other performing groups. Recently moved to San Diego, California, Joseph has previously performed for Holland America Line in the Neptune’s jazz trio.
Growing up around his father’s music shop, Joseph had a strong passion for music at an early age. After receiving his first drum set at the age of ten, he began playing and life has been music ever since. His appreciation and respect for all styles of music has given him experience in groups playing anything from Blues and Jazz, to Rock, Latin, Funk and World Music.
