Generally, people hire me to play during dinners, cocktail hours, and birthday parties.

I can keep a low profile in a corner, or I can be front and center. It all depends on what your event requires.

When it comes to requests, it’s best to know what people will want to hear beforehand.
If it’s an impromptu request, I’ll play it if I know it. If I’ve never played it before, but I’ve heard it before, I can sometimes figure it out quickly in a couple minutes.
But ultimately, impromptu requests are not guaranteed.

Josiah Austin is a highly accomplished and versatile modern classical composer and pianist. He frequently performs an exciting and versatile set of solo piano pop and rock covers at the Portland Airport, Ilani Resort, and private and public events around the Portland/Vancouver metro area. His setlist includes songs by Guns 'N' Roses, Radiohead, David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Toto, ABBA, Elton John, The Beatles, Green Day, Nirvana, Simon and Garfunkel, Neil Diamond and many more.

He’s also known for his modern classical solo piano pieces- a mesmerizing blend of alluring melodies, lush harmonies, and elegant simplicity. With a strong focus on narrative, his works are characterized by delicate piano-centric compositions that occasionally incorporate electronic and orchestral elements, creating a truly unique and captivating musical experience.
