Joyful Faces was established in 2007 and they still love it! It started out with Maria needing a job & unable to find one. Coming from California in 2006 at the time everyone was moving from all over the state to Arizona she found it difficult to find a job. She had been praying for a job that would allow her to be available for her only child that is still in school. As she prayed she met a new friend "Jill Florant", whom she met at a moms home Bible study. Jill had been a professional Face Painter in Florida then moved here to Arizona the same year as Maria. Her idea was to start a face painting team to work with her so she saw Maria's work & liked it. Soon after Maria's first class Jill put her on the field with her to work a birthday party of over 50 kids. That is when Maria discovered that it was something she could do for the rest of her life. She loved it!
Maria immediately thought she could start her own face painting business and started to think of a name for it. One morning she had prayed for a name, opened up her Bible and was reading in the book of Psalms and came across the scripture in Psalm 144:15 "Joyful indeed are those whose God is the Lord", The word "Joyful" stood out to her and decided to name her face painting business "JOYFUL FACES" Face Painting & Balloon Twisting.
Joyful Faces is a professional & friendly team serving many throughout the valley. They love to see the joy on the young & young at heart when they have been transformed by face paint or simply given a balloon design. They started out with just doing Face Painting and one year later her husband, Frank, came on board and began doing his Balloon Twisting. They have since added Temporary Glitter Tattoos which are perfect for pool parties, Silly Magic, Music & Games which is interactive & great for larger groups of kids. They entertain for any occasion you can possibly think of. They specialize in children birthday parties and have experience working large events. If you have a super large event they can even provide multiple artist for you. They also have experience working with special needs children.
