Judith (Jude) Nicholas Music Bio
At a very early age I discovered I have a gift for songwriting, which became a passion of mine but there were blocks. My parents noticed it, and said “Jude” why don’t you try singing out the words” and so I did right in front of the entire family, that’s when it was noticed for the first time of my singing ability.
I quickly horned-in to develop a little style of my own over the course of time.
As a teenager my brothers and I put together an act and took it to the road, and we became so good that we draw the attention of top notch Producer Adam Mosley from London, who was at the time producing Maxi Priest first album “Roxette”, also along with various others artists. Adam took to us like ducks to water and was quickly sought after by many of the major labels, such as, Polydor Records, Motown UK, Sony and MCA who all wanted to ink a deal with them. As upcoming teens we were very excited about the adventure we have taken on. As time went on we worked with many of the great new artists that were coming out of London, offering our vocal talents as well as appearing on Marla Glenn's debut album back in the late 90's, as backup singers in recording sessions the studio, which became a great experience for my brother and me to learn from.
A turn of events had taken its toll on my Family which has stalled my singing careen for a grace period of time.
My brother Regan had moved to Hong Kong and became a DJ. An excessively strong vocalist and songwriter in his own right will appear with me in shows in the future.
In 2011 I decided to come to The United States to find a producer who understood what I was seeking musically, and that's when I linked up with LA’s producer Lew Laing. Lew Laing worked with such Artists as Mark Allen Fenton, Earth, Wind & Fire’s Teri Tobin and many more to bring forth my first CD 'The Real Me' which can be heard on ReverbNation and is now being played on dozens Internet Radio stations.
'The Real Me' charted {Local ranked #1} twice in a row on (link hidden). All songs are written by Judith Nicholas and produced by Lew Laing in the UK and in LA,
“Touch Me, Feel Me”… It has an R&B flavor to it once it’s heard. I am a songstress that’s versatile; my style of music is R&B/Soul/ Neo/Soul/Jazz. I write and produce my own songs with an LA producer name Lew Laing. I was contacted shortly after a gig at Catalina’s on Sunset Blvd, Hollywood California. Afterwards I was sort after, and asked by (link hidden) Global Radio to grand them permission to feature five of the songs they highly raved about; especially “Tell Me” and “Touch Me, Feel Me “from “The Real Me” CD. That in itself is an accomplishment altogether.
The "Stay" and "Wish you were here" are receiving mad reviews and great airplay here in the UK as well as currently being played on (link hidden).
