Traditional Irish and Celtic fiddling at its finest.
Be the first to review Julian Lambertson Fiddling
Price Range: $300-$600; $600-$1200 in March
Gig Length: 10 - 180 minutes
Languages: English
Solo fiddling featuring the traditional dance tunes of the Celtic nations. Most melodies are lively, foot-tapping pieces, with intermittent soulful slow tunes and waltzes.
A consummate musician with over thirty years of experience, Julian Lambertson has performed as well as taught students and workshops all over the United States and Western Europe throughout his musical career. He also has extensive experience in musical composition, song & tune arrangement, music production, and studio music recording. His main instrument is the fiddle (aka the violin), but he also performs on electric bass and vocals. Currently Julian is the fiddler for international Celtic rock sensation Seven Nations. He also performs with Kir, a trio adaptation of Seven Nations. Additionally, Julian is a sought-after freelance fiddler, notably filling in at Epcot for fiddlers in performing bands Alberta Bound and Quickstep, and at Celtic festivals with the aforementioned Seven Nations. On St. Patrick's Day of 2013 Julian's playing was featured on the national television station QVC, appearing with the band Claddagh Ceol.
Julian’s musical style is firmly grounded in the traditional music of Ireland, with the foundation of his skill built off of a disciplined classical background. It also fuses elements of Scottish, Blues, Rock n’ Roll, Old Time, Eastern European, Greek, Country, Cape Breton, English, and Breton music, all of which have influenced his playing over the years.
