Just Kris (JK) was born Krishand Severin in Miami, FL and was raised between there and Nassau, Bahamas where his family’s is originally from. Coming from a musical family JK automatically took an interest in music and between the ages of 8-10 he started a Soca/Reggae band but since that he's been in several hip hop groups which include "Funk Squad" with whom he performed at numerous concerts as the opening act for well known artist and events such as "DMX, Sean Paul, Doug E. Fresh, Big Pun, BET rap it up tour, Who's Up Next, clubs all across America and the Bahamas, he also was featured in international publications such as The Nassau Tribune News Paper and on Orpheus Records-Riot Contract Killers sound track alongside artists such as Foxy Brown and Jayo Felony formally of Def Jam Records, Shyne formally of Bad Boy Records, Juvenile formally of Cash Money Records, Tha EastSidaz of Dogg House Records and many more".

In 1995 Kris started doing music as a promise to his dying uncle, it took him a while before getting the hang of properly structuring a song and rapping but he kept at it and recorded his first song “Tragedy” in 1998.

In 1999 J.K started a company called Marxmen Entertainment to try and further music independently along side Rushan “Russian Roullette” Muncuff and Santino “Santo” Brown. In 2001 The Trio was offered a deal by Platinum Records’ Mike Green & Disco Rick but the $300,000 dollar deal fell through after a fall out between both partners.

In 2004 Kris went to college for sound engineering, where he met Big-B, and in 2006 they put a mixtape call “Standing Ovation” that generated a small buzz in their Tampa,FL area of Town N Country, Kris also worked with Militant Military who put out the hit song Mz. Alll Da Way Live, Tampa Tony, DJ S&M, DJ M.I, Money & Muscle.

In 2007 one of Just Kris' songs "Do Yo Dance" was featured on I.A.D.T's compilation album but he stopped rapping for a while to help Artist Reese to further his career, who is also doing very with his music.

In 2008 JK Started rapping again but had some setbacks with his mom dying and having to take care of his 18y.o and 1y.o sisters on his own , being rob of all my studio equipment while he was out of town for his mom funeral, and losing everything he owned, but now he’s back on right track more focus and determine to make great things happen for himself, friends and family.

Since the early stages of amateurish rhyming skills J.K has developed a lyrical style like no other and it’s not easily labeled because his sound varies from, Hip-Hop/RAP to POP, and R&B, different deliveries and A unique dialect, he never limits his self to any particular style of music, no matter if it’s East, West, North, South or Caribbean and no topic is not a topic when he’s writing.

Kris life style influences his rhymes in a lot of ways and you can hear it in his metaphors, similes and verse structuring on every song, people say he’s like a fresh breath of air and they love his voice because of his speaking tone and mix accent.

Honorable and Respectable are just a few words that describes JK but it'll take a Webster herself to define the man behind the music. Although Kris was born in Miami, FL he spent a lot of his life in the islands with his family, and as much as people would like to think of his home towns as their paradise he shows that it’s not all sun shine and fun, his rhymes show the struggles, and pains of his culture and community but he also rhymes about the enjoyment of pleasures in life, chilling vibes and tries to promotes a positivity and love.
