These two are so talented it is unbelievable! We were beyond pleased with their performance as was all of our guests. Ken is amazing! Truly. He single handedly made our wedding day such a memorable one. We hired him to play during and after our ceremony and during the cocktail hour and our guests could not get enough! He is a consummate professional and we knew we were in good hands from the moment we started communicating with him. We provided a provisional list of artists/ songs and Ken ran with it-- adding additional songs that fit our vibe and perfectly complemented our selections. He was punctual and friendly and seemed genuinely happy for us, even though he had never met us before our wedding day. Having Ken perform at our ceremony, which was outdoors was amazing. Our guests were so impressed and pleased. They are literally still giving us praise for how beautiful he sounds and how great of a person he was. It really set the mood right. After talking to Ken we felt confident in his ability so we asked for only a few specific songs but the rest he freestyled and it was awesome. He was also very helpful the day of as we needed a generator. He went out of his way and obtained the generator for us. Beyond the call of duty and we are extremely grateful as it was unforgettable! ❤

My parents’ 50th anniversary fell during COVID19, so we hired Sebrina and Ken to serenade them from outside their apartment building, It was incredible! They are so talented! Sebrina’s voice is out of this world, and Ken’s sax was just the romantic sound we needed. I thought there was no way my parents would leave their apartment, but they moved faster than I’ve seen them go in years to get downstairs and dance in the street (masks on!). Sebrina was amazing at communicating, she responded quickly to my every question and asked all the right questions herself without being needy. And the song list was PERFECT!

We hired Ken for my mother-in-law's birthday celebration. Because it is during Covid-19, he was able to set up outside in the driveway area and played some of her favorite songs . She absolutely LOVED it, it was such a nice surprise, and family members and neighbors were all able to watch (social distancing themselves) and have a little fun and break up the day to day monotony of staying indoors and not being able to go anywhere. Ken was communicative and polite, the music was GREAT and I would hire him again. I highly recommend hiring him for any event where you would like a live sax player. A+++

This was by far the most moving performance I’ve ever witnessed. Just the 2 of us arrived punctually and began performing without a hitch. The saxophonist played with such soul, he will make you fall in love with your favorite song all over again. The wife gave an impeccable spoken word piece; the most impressive part, it was in English AND Spanish. I would highly recommend this beautifully talented duo to anyone looking to make a lifelong memory.

Some tech issues at the beginning, but once we were underway, Just the 2 of Us gave us an entertaining virtual experience for my birthday. My guests were swaying to the music and singing along. We raised $10k for scholarships for young people. Only critique: better for JT2ofUs to plug their mic into the computer for better sound quality. Overall great show!

I hired Just the 2 of Us to play for a small gathering for my mom's 85th birthday. They did not disappoint! The mix of songs they selected were perfect (mix of gospel and soul). The singer and saxophone player were great. The saxophone definitely takes it to another level and adds a special touch. Communication with them was easy and they are flexible. My guests had great comments about their performance and we had a wonderful time. They interacted with my guests and adjusted to the flow of the party. I loved their rendition of So Amazing. They also played music between the sets. I believe I definitely got my money's worth. We enjoyed it so much I paid them to play another 30 min or so. Set up was a little late but that may have been due to a time change I made. My guests and food were late as well so it wasn't a big thing. I would definitely hire them again. Thanks for a memorable afternoon!! My mom can't stop talking about it!

Kinda depends on what you need and what type of event you are hosting. For example if you just needed a vocalist for a small formal event that you did not want to have to worry about anything other than the performer be in place ready to go at the appointed time; you would get Sebrina in appropriate dress with preselected styles of music or specific songs that you chose on an audio track for best consistency and quality control. Ken would provide her technical setup and support with amplification and management of the tracks, volume, etc. If you wanted both Ken and Sebrina to perform or minister you would have the same setup just with additional amplification for the saxophone and the music preset on a playlist to flow smoothly. We own and can setup a larger sound system for events up to 120 people and can expand to an entire 6 piece band ( 2 month event lead time is necessary for the band).
We have no issues using the 'house' system or pre-existing sound reinforcement equipment.
We are both well versed in many styles of music and can flow easily from jazz standards to traditional gospel, and from big band to R&B. We also can work hand in hand with other musicians or performers. Our goal is to offer you the most flexible and professional service possible while having fun. If we don't think we can provide what you are looking for, we will tell you upfront and suggest someone else that may fit your needs better than us.
We have performed and ministered together or as solo acts for over 20 years. Our diverse backgrounds make for some interesting combinations and approaches to music and entertaining. Ken grew up in Louisiana with a deep appreciation and love for traditional Gospel, Soul and R&B music in ad hoc bands; While Sebrina is steeped in contemporary gospel, Jazz standards and classical, stemming from her thespian training and love of Broadway and praise and worship music. We toured together with Air Force Entertainment as part of the “Tops In Blue” and the rest is history.
What we strive to provide is both fun and ministry. We cut out all of the goofy parts of the videos to be more ‘professional’ but honestly, we are ‘professionally fun’ to have around. We love to interact with the people during and after the event and often end up finding that we share a lot in common with the organizer and with the audience. Our Bio is short because who really cares how many more names, we can drop than the next artist. Check out our video and audio offerings if you haven’t already. If you are interested in what you have seen or heard, and are wondering if we can support your event just ask; or in the words of the great songwriter Reba McEntire “Why Haven’t I Heard from You?”.
For an existing audio setup our only requirement is for a vocal microphone for Sebrina and/or phantom power (+48V) for the saxophone mic. Alternately a vocal microphone can be used for the saxophone but limits mobility.
If we need to supply audio equipment, we will use a 180 W PA system for small venues and a 1000 W PA system for large (over 100 people).
