Jim Armstrong the coordinator and member of the band for lack is an experienced and knowledgeable brother of Bluegrass. Its an unpretentious group of guys that does not live above their raising. It was a fine tribute to my brother who was a long student of Bluegrass. It was short notice the night before that morning, but Jim had a solution showing great empathy and respect for what he needed to do. He showed up on time, they played well, music befitting an old mountain burial. The window was impressed giving complement to them. For me thats all that mattered. Jim has a great background and understanding of the simple art form of the music. If you talk to Jim you feel like you have known him your entire life. Very, very accommodating and " get it done bunch". Again I thank him and those guys he brought that sunny warm Kentucky morning. The best their is.

Response from Kaintuck Band:
Jimmy,
Thank you for your kind words. As a military veteran, and speaking on behalf of the two retired Louisville firefighters who joined me playing that day, it was a privilege for us to be there to honor your brother.
Thank you.

Jim and his band did a great job playing bluegrass at our wedding reception. Great communication before the event. The setup and break down was smooth. And the tunes were great! Would 10/10 recommend.

We had a military send-off party for our son, and we hired Jim and the guys of the Kaintuck Band. Jim was easy to work with and communicate with leading up to the performance date. When the guys arrived, they were so kind and professional. The cast-up was seamless & quick. I had told them a little bit about my family, and they said such nice words inbetween songs. The band really made my event seem so much more personal & fun. Aside from that aspect, their quality of music was above & beyond what we expected. They are talented with their instruments and voices! We will hire them the next time we need a band. And I have to add- everybody LOVES bluegrass music! It’s happy music! It’s the best “background” for a beautiful day. You won’t regret your decision by hiring The Kaintuck Band. BOOK THEM NOW!!!!

Jim and the rest of the band were great to work with! They played for my mom’s 70th birthday party and we had a great time. They had no issues traveling to our neck of the woods in Meade County, came with everything they needed for setup, took requests - all around a great experience! We’ll definitely be using them again for any future live music needs! Thanks guys!
