Karla was very responsive & accommodating to our unique event... GLAMPING at a penthouse reception at a private business club. Provided a song list and brought her own equipment. I would definitely book Karla again.

I hired Karla for my birthday dinner party (about 40 people) and was thrilled with her performance. She is extremely talented.
Before the event, Karla contacted me and asked me how she could tailor her songs to the event. Learning that I was French, she took the initiative to sing some French songs (in addition to her own repertoire) and brought an accordionist. She also wore a French beret, which I thought was a nice touch.
Karla’s voice is truly beautiful, she has a very charming personality and great positive energy. Her performance provided a lovely ambiance to the evening. She was perfect. Everyone loved Karla and asked me how I found such a gem. I strongly recommend her.
Also, she brought her own sound equipment that has batteries and does not need to be plugged in. This was quite convenient since we were outside.

Karla did such a wonderful job! Everyone loved her and she added such a wonderful and sweet touch to our ceremony and cocktail hour!

I contacted Karla (aka), once i began the frantic scramble for a musician to perform at my cousin's funeral. As you can imagine this was a very tragic time for our family so ease of transaction was pertinent. Karla was prompt in her response to my inquiry, and as i spoke with her I quickly realized not only was she the epitome of professionalism, she also possessed a beautiful spirit. Although she had never performed at a funeral she came in with an open mind and put a lot of thought into song choice, even checking in with me on the playlist order before the services. Her attention to detail was impressive on such short notice. She was punctual, brought the necessary equipment needed and gave input in order to allow for a smooth flow. Above all she sang beautifully while playing her own renditions of our selected play list on her ukulele.

I can't wait to hire her again, but hopefully next time it will be for a joyous occasion.

A woman appears that I do not know, what is already the most amazing surprise event thrown for me. Karla stopped the event the way only great talent can. Aside from her extraordinary voice and performance, Karla discovered and rendered performances on songs from my life. That care to discover, that boldness to interpret anew moments of my past, made a night to remember – a night to never forget. This is an astonishing woman of great grace and talent.

I'd seen Karla perform in and around LA and thought her presence and powerful voice would be a great addition to our Gala Fundraiser.

Well, I was correct and blown away as usual! Our guests were absolutely delighted and wanted more. Karla is very good at reading her audience, she's very personable, has a great stage presence and her voice is AMAZING!

Karla's voice is amazing! I hired her for a marriage proposal to sing the song "Perfect". She was on time and professional and did everything right. She even improvised and played only her guitar when our client was proposing even though she wasn't instructed to, and then went right back to singing when the girl said yes. I would hire her again for sure!

My husband and I were celebrating our previous tiny destination wedding with friends and family in an afternoon, backyard garden party of 50-60 people. I desired live music that would be suitable for a party with ages ranging from a small handful of children to grandmothers: something everyone would enjoy. I sent out a bulletin through GigSalad and Karla was one of the responses. Off the bat she was extremely professional, and after listening to some of the sample performances she provided I knew she was perfect for our event. Smooth and sensual voice, a great set list of both classic and contemporary R&B favorites and originals. Her pricing was beyond reasonable for her level of talent.

After booking, she was very communicative in making sure she could provide what we needed, even asking if there were particular songs we wanted her to play. I got the sense that if a song had been special to us, but not in her immediate repertoire, she would have learned it.

The day of the event she was very self sufficient in setting up and began playing right on time. Her voice and presence just added a really special ambiance for the already beautiful day. She was both engaging and non obtrusive, which was ideal for an event where family and friends were also chatting and catching up. She perfectly picked up on our cue for a casual tone for the party, while I also believe she could easily offer a more formal presentation. I've been at parties where the performer sort of takes over and people have to go hide in corners to interact with one another, and this was not the case with Karla: her music just flowed through the party naturally. Although, when she played Nina Simone's "Feeling Good" (my husband's favorite song) I embarrassed him by pulling him out into the middle of the party to slow dance. :) Such a fun moment!

All of my guests exclaimed how much they enjoyed her performance, the day would not have been the same without her. Further, she was professional, warm, and graceful when interacting with everyone.

I would strongly recommend Karla for really ANY special event: large or small, day or night.

Karla is a sensational singer. Her voice is one of a kind. She has a broad range and her voice is that of an angel. Also, she is an amazing guitarist. She is phenomenal, amazing, and truly blessed individual. And besides that she is a awesome person with a loving heart.

Karla Moxley recently featured at One Mic Wednesdays @ R-I-P Boutique in Hollywood where she totally blew the minds of the audience with her soulful sound! She was very professional and well poised with an audience of at least 100 to wow, and boy did she...She Wowed us with every piece and her signature blue guitar set the tone for a wonderful night! She definitely fits the bill!
