Kate Escape brings laughs and high spirits to virtually any venue because the audiences create the show! In a field dominated by men, Kate is a breath of fresh air. With over 15 years of stage experience, Kate will arrive on time, prepared, and with a smile, and proceed to lead your audience through the high-energy and hilarious journey of comedy hypnosis. Volunteers from the audience undergo the safe and easy process of hypnotism, and leave the show feeling like they’ve had 8 hours of restorative, restful sleep. In the meantime, they put on a tasteful, appropriate, and uproarious show for their fellow audience members, all facilitated by the bubbly and genuine Kate.

In a field dominated by men, Kate stands out as a breath of fresh air. First and foremost, expect a good clean show! You can also look forward to lots of laughs, high energy, the highest level of professionalism, prompt communication, and care and respect for each and every audience member.
Kate will arrive prepared, on time, and with a smile. She is charming, low-maintenance, and willing to adapt in whatever way necessary (within reason) to make your event a success. The show itself is always non-offensive, and Kate starts the show by explaining the basic concepts of hypnosis so the volunteers and the audience know what to expect. High school events, colleges, corporate parties, fairs, fundraisers........Kate loves performing for them all!
Stage
A stage is not required, but preferred for enhanced audience experience. The audience should have clear visibility of the performance area. If possible, try to avoid having the audience and the performance on the same level. If stage risers are used, the stage size should be a minimum of 16 ft. wide by 8 ft. deep. The ideal stage size is 20 ft. wide by 16 ft. deep. Back of the stage should be flush against wall.
Sound
In most instances, the performance venue sound system is preferred and appropriate. The audience should be able to clearly hear the performance – so it is recommended that the sound level be set near maximum. Stage monitors are not required, but an added benefit for volunteers on stage for sound clarity. One handheld, wireless microphone (with new batteries) is needed. Additionally, one 1/8 inch auxilary cable – this may require a DI Box for conversion to XLR.
(Artist can easily provide, upon request, her own microphone and small sound system sufficient to cover most venues).
Lighting
The stage should be well-lit so everyone in the audience is able to see the performance clearly. The audience seating area may be dimmed.
Props
15-20 chairs are needed on stage, depending on audience size/willingness to participate. Chairs should be setup in one row facing the audience, with at least 18 inches of walking space behind them.
Show Times and Scheduling
Close parking and someone to meet and guide Katie to the performing area may be required. The sound system and lighting should be in full operation prior to Katie’s arrival. The audience should be in place and seated by the contracted start time. Because of the potential for a tight schedule, delays in having the sound/lighting operational or the audience in their seats may unfortunately cut into the length of the show.
Videotaping
Is allowed; however, this is for home/personal use only. Any or All video footage should be given to the Artist upon request. Commercial sale of the performance without permission is illegal. DO NOT show the video recording of the performance to show participants on the same night. The Artist assumes no responsibility for mis-use of hypnosis recordings. Fees may be assigned for breach of the above.
Hotel/Lodging (when contracted)
If a hotel room is provided, please reserve a single, non-smoking room as close to the performance location as possible (under the name KATIE PARTRIDGE).
