Katie Bush creates large scale chalk art murals, including 3d chalk art, restaurant signs, cafe signs, hand lettering, private murals, and more! Experienced in chalking for corporate events, festivals, weddings, restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, private homes, among others. Chalk art can be created in front of spectators as a performance art or days prior to your event. Time lapse videos are available upon request.
Katie was prepared for the event ahead of time and quickly completed the work. I was impressed with her knowledge and expertise and she worked well with the children and adults. We plan to use her again in the future.

For large chalk murals, I do the hours of prep work ahead of time (nobody wants to see that!). Typically, I set up in a prominent place during an event, and spectators walk by and watch me as I create a large work of art throughout the day. I can do 2d or 3d chalk art as well as murals, both vertical or horizontal (on the ground). I have also created large works days ahead of an event so that it is on display during the event. For business signage, I spend a lot of time making it perfect, so I typically take the boards to my studio. If boards are attached to a wall, that's no problem! I am flexible and can create on site if needed. For business signage, I can use smarable or unsmearable chalk or paint it with permanent paint to have the illusion of being chalk. Really, there's so many options- I can work with you to create exactly what you need!
View my website and extensive portfolio at artkatieDOTcom - I am one of those people who can make anything! A few years ago, I helped organize a chalk festival in metro Atlanta. After seeing the artists perform on the street in front of so many curious and engaged people, I signed up for a festival in Florida and instantly became passionate about chalk art. After working in art museums for a few years, I am now a full time freelance artist. I have my BFA and MAEd in Art Education. While in college, I ran a successful blog for art teachers called The Daily Telecraft. In 2012, I published a children's book to complete my master's degree. I was recently named the 2015 Museum Art Educator of the Year by the Georgia Art Education Association. I am extremely passionate about art! My clients are consistently amazed at the quality of work that I produce. I am detail-oriented and have a keen eye for composition. Let's make your event or business a success!
If I am using chalk, please don't place me near an area that could get wet! All of the chalks are water soluble and go away after it rains/gets wet. The larger the space, the better!
I provide everything!
