Mezzo-soprano Katie Fraser is a recent graduate of the University of British Columbia, BMus (2020) and MMus (2022). Katie is an upcoming opera singer with a beautiful rich and warm tone and a demanding stage presence. She can be seen performing around Vancouver with local companies such as City Opera Vancouver, Vancouver Opera, Nebula Performances, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Vancouver Bach Choir and UBC Opera.

Mezzo-soprano Katie Fraser is a recent graduate of the University of British Columbia, BMus (2020) and MMus (2022) in Opera Performance. Katie was most recently seen as Dorabella in Mozart's Cosi fan tutte and Jezibaba in Dvorak's Rusalka in Teplice Czech Republic. In Canada, Katie was recently one of ten participants at the Canadian Opera Company Summer Intensive, Lola in Cavalleria Rusticana (UBC Opera), chorus in Vancouver Opera's Carmen and in City Opera’s production of Mazzoli's Song from the Uproar: The Lives and Deaths of Isabelle Eberhardt, the mezzo soloist for the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s “Ravel: La Valse and Bolero” concerts, the mezzo soloist for the Mozart Coronation Mass and the Haydn Lord Nelson Mass under the baton of Les Dala with the Vancouver Opera Orchestra and Vancouver Bach Choir, and as a chorus member in The Flying Dutchman (Vancouver Opera). Katie is a recent recipient of a bursary from the Toni and Hildegard Cavelti Fund Foundation as well as the "Young Talent in Opera" bursary from the Vancouver Opera Guild. Past credits include Dorabella in Mozart's Cosi fan tutte, Prince Charming in Massenet's Cendrillon, Lola in Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana, Frau Reich in Nicolai’s Die Lustigen Weiber von Windsor, Hansel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, Jezibaba in Dvorak’s Rusalka, Tree Spirit in Shadow Catch, Cherubino in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, Tessa in Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Gondoliers, Julia Bertram in Dove’s Mansfield Park.
