You should expect an amazing performance of raw and live energy from us. We will interact with the crowd, we will make announcements for drink specials, shout outs, and we do song requests at times. We also do merch drawings where we will hand out tickets at the door when they pay the cover charge and we will do a drawing for a free K'dence shirt or sticker or both. K'dence will put on a performance of great tunes. We move around on stage and we have no problems with talking to the crowd and venue staff. When we are done with our set, we will break down all of our equipment and start packing it up. We can DJ if the venue wants music to be playing while we are on our 15 minute break or during break down and set up. Sound check is to be done at least an hour before the gig starts. We try to be prompt, and professional as possible. After our services are completed we get paid (depending on what the band and venue have agreed upon).
The story of K'dence begins with 2 sisters who dreamed of becoming musicians. Brittany Howell and Amber Howell picked up an acoustic guitar and started writing songs over 15 years ago. After years of spinning their wheels, they decided to form a full band. They first met up with guitarist and South Florida native Brad Matthews. Together they started laying the ground work. The 3 members of K'dence soon found bass player Marcus Stephens right in their own town of Florence, SC. Things were coming together! K'dence went through 2 drummers and another bass player until finally picking up bassist Rod Dease of Darlington, SC. As of April 2012, with Rod on the bass, Marcus moved to drums, Brad on guitar and Brittany and Amber on vocals, K'dence was at last complete. In the past couple of months they have made a name for themselves in the Pee Dee area and have played numerous venues across the state of SC. They have a way of drawing a crowd and blowing away even the toughest of critics! K'dence now has an amazing, must-hear 4 song EP/Demo available to the public. They are currently playing shows all over SC and writing new material daily. Check K'dence out and you will not be disappointed! They are currently booking and playing shows so be on the lookout!
We have our own lighting equipment (4 cans w/ stand), and we have our own custom drum riser. Depending on how big of a stage we're on we will determine whether we will use it or not. Keep in mind there are 5 members so we do need room for our gear and our bodies. Our normal draw is anywhere from 15-30 people, some nights we bring in more, some nights we may not. If you want us to play outside we ask that you have an overhead stage just in case bad weather comes about, but we do try to plan for how the weather is. If we see that within a week of a gig that it's supposed to rain on the day of the show, we will contact you about playing inside instead. If you have any questions or concerns about anything please feel free to email the band manager, Brad Matthews Thank you.
