Audiences should expect to come and laugh! 15 minutes - 1 hour of creative original stand-up comedy. My comedy is observational, topical, clean, and, most importantly funny! Audience members can expect to be engaged. My shows can be interactive with crowd participation.

Jones The Comedian Was born Keith J Jones. He was raised in the all American town of Bakersfield California. All though only 100 miles from the bright lights, fame, and the glamorous life of Hollywood Bakersfield is the antithesis of tensile town in every since of the word. However, the Bakersfield way of life had no bearing on the overly enthusiastic, energetic, and big personality that Jones was born with. At the age of 4 years old Jones’ God giving talent for public speaking, entertaining, and engaging a crowd was notice. The church and his salvation in Christ are the foundation for all that Jones is. His mother would (with-out prompting) enter him in various speaking parts in church play’s functions and events. Unbeknownst to Jones or his family this was indeed the beginnings of Jones The Comedian.

At age 11 Jones was introduced to his other very special talent of being a great creative writer. Upon entering a 6th grade book writing contest Jones’ original short story titled "The adventures of double 0 dud" won for best originality. From that point forward Jones by inspiration transcended through various genres of writing. His expression of deep thoughts and feelings through smooth, clever, and witty articulation are unique only to him.

After life changing events like the loss of his father at the age of 17 Jones (being the maverick individual he is) took a "bull by the horns"
approach to life. No matter if it was him working several jobs at a time or being a full time college student or both at the same time creative writing and public expression have always played a huge role in Jones’ travels. After graduating from a profound college experience at Alabama A&M University Jones embarked on the traditional path of pursuing a corporate America career. After succeeding in entering and prospering in the worlds of large retail store chain management followed by a pharmaceutical sales career Jones felt a tremendous void in purpose for his work. On January 2nd, 2007 Jones resigned from a successful 3 year long corporate sales career without knowing anything but, that he wanted to love what he did for a living, and use his God giving talents to do it. On Prayer and supplication coupled with great blind faith Jones began the journey.

On the merit of being true to himself Jones looked inward, and asked God to show him his path. Jones simply asked "What do I love doing"? After a short hiatus Jones found himself working On-Air for KERN 1180. After many compliments about his voice and presences on-air Jones pursued an On-Air Television opportunity. On Feb.1st, 2008 Jones began broadcasting as a Traffic Reporter for CBS 29/FOX 58, and Host of Better Bakersfield the life style magazine show. From the great audience response to his quick wit, personality, and sense of humor Jones decided to attempt to blend his creative writing abilities, and comfortably of the stage, and try stand-up comedy. From the first joke of his first performance the laughter of the audience made it all make sense…and Jones The Comedian was born. Jones’ mission is to "Serve the people some funny" and he does it very well.
