Kevin tastefully and effortlessly played a mix of contemporary music, classical, and jazz for our wedding ceremony and reception, and he did a fantastic job. Kevin is a technically and musically gifted player who nailed all the pieces we asked him to prepare. He also was a pleasure to work with leading up to the event and was extremely accommodating when we had minor sound issues during the ceremony with our DJ. Working with him was absolutely seamless, a true joy. Highly recommend!
Wow. Kevin played at our wedding this past weekend and I was blown away. He was extremely professional and accommodating, showing up early to the venue and moved around as the crowd went from the ceremony to dinner. He played wonderfully and was able to tailor his music to the overall mood of the party. I received multiple compliments on his behalf at the end of the night. Highly reccomend.
We hired Kevin to play classical guitar during our wedding ceremony and cocktail reception this fall. He was accompanied by a violinist (Clare). Kevin was very easy to communicate with prior to the event. He was very responsive and accommodating, and worked with us to customize a couple of arrangements for our ceremony.
The wedding day performance went off without a hitch. The arrangements were so beautiful and well done, and the music for the cocktail reception was perfect. Our videographer no-call no-showed (gasp!), and Kevin (being the nice guy that he is) agreed to make a recording of the ceremony arrangements for us so we could have them forever.
To sum up: Kevin is an extremely talented guitarist and performer. He’s a super nice and genuine guy that clearly loves what he does. His playing elevated the party and made our day even more beautiful and special. If you want a professional, kind, accommodating, and talented classical guitarist to play at your wedding or event, Kevin is the guy!
Thank you Kevin for everything! We look forward to hearing more of your music!
PS Thank you also to Clare!
I would completely and enthusiastically recommend Kevin for any event. He was professional and easy to deal with, showed up on time, and of course, most importantly, the music he played was absolutely beautiful. He learned the song my daughter wanted to walk down the aisle and it sounded perfect. A talented and professional musician (and a nice person who was great to deal with). Thank you Kevin!
Professional, responsible, helpful and SO talented! Could not have been happier with Kevin. Thank you!
I'm so happy to have hired Kevin. He played beautiful music for our wedding and cocktail hour. Very professional and skilled - thank you, Kevin!
Kevin was an amazing addition to our celebration! His music was enjoyed by all during dinner. Very professional. Thank you Kevin!
Kevin was great to work with. Responded promptly to e-mail questions. Easy to work with. Showed up on time. And, oh yes, sounded great! I wish I could have pulled up a chair and watched him perform, but our wedding guests and my bride took priority!
Kevin played so beautifully at our dinner party for 30 guests, everyone raved about him. His taste in music is excellent and his technique and musicianship is superb. His playing set a wonderful tone for the evening. His handsome presence at our event added a good deal of charm to the evening. What an outstanding choice for us!
We had Kevin play for our wedding. He was very accommodating with some last minute changes playing for our cocktail hour and ceremony. He proactively reached out and communicated with us so everyone was in the loop with all the details. He arrived on time and played beautifully! Everyone complimented us on the lovely music. We highly recommend Kevin!
Kevin played beautifully for my clients' wedding at Ventana Inn in Big Sur. Because there was no dancing, first dances, etc., he actually played for about 3.5 hours for the cocktail hour and lunch and then another 1 hour for the ceremony. The sun was blazing and yet he was was so steady. He played a beautiful mix of Beatles, classical, and other contemporary that suited the locale. I'd hire him again!
We had a last minute cancellation from a different artist for our back-to-back black tie Awards galas. We reached out to Kevin in a hurry, hoping to book him and he was very prompt in his response and gave us all the appropriate information the same day we contacted him. He showed up very early and was set up almost 45 minutes prior to the start of our event. His classical music fit perfectly with the ambiance we were trying to achieve and he sounded great for the entirety of his performance. He was very nice, dressed appropriately and very accommodating. My team and I are very glad we were able to use him for our two events. It was definitely a success! Thanks, Kevin!!
Kevin's choice of music and personal presence were a huge positive addition to our wedding. This is true for us (the bride and groom) and, from comments I received, for others as well. I can't thank you enough.
I honestly can't think of any areas of improvement to offer. Kevin's music selection, personality, professionalism, timing, it was all spot-on. In addition to his guitar performance, he started the recorded bridal procession music from his iPod with perfect timing. (BTW, we used the beginning of the 2nd movement of Beethoven's 5th symphony). I would hire Kevin Ayers again, or recommend him to others, without reservation.
I hired Kevin for a Spanish themed dinner at a retirement community and he added just the right touch to our event. The music was a great fit and the residents just loved him! A wonderful find for the price, thank you Kevin!
For our wedding, we had a lot of ideas of what we wanted, and with our request for a few special arrangements, we were a bit worried we wouldn't find someone up to the task. Kevin and the Commonwealth Trio handled the Ceremony, Cocktail Hour and First Dance of our event. When we first began communication, Kevin was friendly, enthusiastic, and very helpful. When we asked him about our requests, he was very excited and came up with three very awesome arrangements for us, and even came to our first dance rehearsals so we could get used to the accompaniment. Suffice to say, Kevin was such an easy vendor to work with prior to the wedding.
We can't begin to express how awesome the trio was on our special day. They sounded so great and we received so many compliments. All three guys, Kevin, Daniel, and Jon, were so easy to work with and are so very talented.
Booking with Kevin was easy and definitely worth the investment. Anytime you need guitar, he's your guy!
We had a great experience all around with Kevin Ayers. His classical guitar playing was a wonderful addition to our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. His music was absolutely beautiful. Kevin Ayers was professional, friendly, helpful and accommodating from the moment we first contacted him. I will highly recommend him to friends and family for their events and we hope to work with him again in the future. Thank you so much, Kevin!
I received lots of positive comments about Kevin's music. It was exactly what I wanted for my parent's anniversary party. He contributed to making it a success. I throw lots of large parties and Kevin will definitely be my first choice for entertainment!
I had the honor of having Kevin play for my wedding and it was beautiful. Thank you for working with me and taking in the requests and changes that were made leading up to the wedding. You are truly amazing my guests and truly enjoyed the music thank you.
Kevin is such an easy person to work with and an incredibly talented guitarist. His music set the atmosphere throughout our wedding ceremony, cocktails and dinner. He was even willing to learn a couple of songs we had chosen specifically. I would highly recommend him for future events.
Kevin was prompt, professional, excellent in performance and well worth the price. I would use him again and recommend him to anyone thinking of a classical guitarist.
I celebrated my 50th birthday with a backyard party (approx. 35 people). I didn't want a cookie-cutter party; I wanted something different. Something special and memorable, but low key with 'no hoopla.' The music Kevin provided was a perfect fit. So pretty, especially so when listening to it while sitting under the stars. He was so easy to work with. Polite, kind, personable, and professional. I feel so lucky to have found him and have already referred him to many of my friends.
Kevin was incredibly easy to work with! I am a busy corporate event planner and didn't have time to scour the internet for tens of musicians for my highly affluent corporate event. I could tell quickly from his profile he would be the perfect balance between sophisiticated musician and low-key ambiance. He was very professional on the phone during our brief planning calls, and was very receptive to my requests. He was on time and got his himself ready at the event with zero onsite management from me (perftect!). I was just bummed I didn't have more time to appreciate his music since I was running around managing the event! I've already let him know about our next event this Fall so he could keep his calendar open!
Bravo Kevin. Thanks for the quality work with no worries!
Kevin along with his two additional masters did a fantastic job and transformed the evening into something very special. They were professional, sounded amazing, and had an element of fun underlying the beautiful notes emanating from their instruments. Nice job!
I hired Kevin to perform at my annual Christmas party that I put together for my friends and family and he did a fantastic job! Not only did he play Christmas standards and classical music, but he also played several Beatles classics as well as other pop arrangements which really brought life to the party. He was very professional, showing up early to the gig and was never too loud. He came referred to me by a friend of mine who also used him for a private party. Overall Kevin is a fantastic guitarist and a pleasure to listen to. I plan on using him again!
Kevin is a fabulous and talented guitarist. First time I heard him play it was Ode to Joy, brought me back to memories of my wedding. I've also had the pleasure to see and hear him perform at other events.
1) He was awesome!
2) Incredibely professional, friendly and courteous.
3) Very knowledgeable about all the different genres of music and the instrument.
4) Plays a variety of songs to fit any occasion.
Kevin has performed at several of my parties, he is always a hit. His talents go beyond amazing, he's professional, great social skills and and easy to work with. Trust me, you're guest will not soon forget a performance by Kevin!
