Overview
We are offering a swinging, jazz group with experience playing music together and providing relaxing old-time jazz music to modern jazz tunes. The instrumentation is flexible, from jazz trio to a full rhythm section with multiple horns, and we can do other instrumental styles including funk, soul, fusion, and more.
The Kevin Huang Group is a jazz band led by saxophonist / pianist Kevin Huang. He has played internationally at the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy, the Nice Jazz Festival in France, the Prudential Center, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and recorded at Abbey Road Studios and the Power Station. Kevin is on full-tuition scholarship at Berklee College of Music.

About
Kevin Huang, leader of the Kevin Huang Group, has played internationally at the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy, the Nice Jazz Festival in France, the Prudential Center, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and recorded at Abbey Road Studios and the Power Station / Avatar Studios. Kevin is a full-tuition scholarship student from Berklee College of Music.
He has won many awards for his saxophone playing, including the First Plaze Prize in the 2023 Gerry Mulligan Competition, the YoungArts 2023 Award in Jazz Saxophone, and 2022 National Jazz Festival First Place Soloist Award.

We're influenced by old jazz musicians and group like the Miles Davis Quintets, Clifford Brown and Max Roach, Charlie Parker, as well as bossa nova musicians like Antonio Carlos Jobim and Joao Gliberto. Also influenced by many motown and soul bands as well as funk musicians and bands like Parliament-Funkadelic, Maceo Parker, James Brown, and more.
