evonna Rose, a singer/songwriter out of South Jersey is new on the scene but quickly captivating her audiences. Her songwriting is full of depth and substance, but goes down easily because of it's melodic structure. Singing came naturally to Kevonna, who was born into a family full of musicians and singers.
After taking on the guitar, songwriting came very naturally as well. Kevonna was named the 2012 winner of the Wawa Welcome America singer/songwriter contest. She was able to go on to open up for Lauryn Hill, Common, Joe Jonas, Philly's own The Roots and more. Most recently, (link hidden)se has performed on the world famous Apollo stage during their Amateur Night at the Apollo competition and placed 3rd.
Making meaningful and substance filled music that will last for many generations, as the great music of the past has, is Kevonna Rose's goal. A project is in the works to soon be released so music lovers all over can experience what Kevonna Rose has to offer.
I travel with my own guitar, amp, and cords, but sound equipment, such as speakers, is required.
