Kip's Face Painting is a local business owned and operated by Saban "Kip" Hess, an artist and face painter. Kip's Face Painting exclusively uses paints and products approved by the FDA for use on the face and body to create fun and festive, face and body painting for any event or occasion. She never stops practicing and developing skills by going to conventions and taking classes!

Kip's Face Painting will set up at your event with a table and two chairs in an area of your choice. Shade is preferred for an outdoor event - nobody likes to squint in the sun or stand in line baking, especially small children! If you have a designated tent or thematic requirement I am happy to set up in the way that you choose provided the table and two chairs will fit. I provide my own table and chairs, and everything I need - however if you prefer I use your equipment or furniture I am happy to do so - just let me know!
On the day of the event, set up will take place prior to the start time and any balance for services will be due to prevent interruptions to any scheduled activities at your event, I will paint everyone possible within the time frame allowed and manage the line. You will not need to check in or manage any portion of my services. When time is up, I will clean the area, pack my kit and leave quietly. You won't have to worry about a thing!
I am Saban "Kip" Hess of Kip's Face Painting. I started face painting in 2010 after becoming disillusioned with my typical 9-5 working for SunTrust Mortgage. I've been painting since I was a young teenager and thought to myself, "Hey, people do that for a living! That looks like being paid to have fun professionally!" So I dove in, I quit my job and I got painting. I love what I do, I love making kids smile, making adults remember to have silly fun and seeing families, coworkers and friends laugh and play at barbecues, parties and events.
I can't think of another line of work that would allow me to make someone smile so widely just by turning around a mirror every few minutes.
It's incredibly rewarding doing what I do, and I'm privileged and appreciate each of the opportunities I receive to bring joy into the lives of my clients.
Please note that I only use FDA Approved makeups for all my events and take the utmost care in terms of hygiene and safety.
Information regarding safety:
I cannot paint the face of a child or adult who is sick, has open wounds or sores or who may be allergic to the paint. If there is concern of an allergic reaction or a sensitivity please let me know and I will perform a spot test 45 min prior to painting to gauge the safety of continuing. If the child or adult is sick or has injuries I will still see what I can do to include them, perhaps giving them a fun piece of art on their arm or leg - so every child can walk away happy!!
