Kristin Lee

Kristin Lee’s parents listened to their ‘pop music’ from the 40s & 50s~Nat King Cole, Julie London, Tijuana Brass, etc…which gave her a taste for this older style of American music. Kristin fell in love with jazz by listening to KJAZZ, and passionate about music & singing, she trained with the great jazz singer, Julie Kelly. While touring Europe for three summers, she also recorded in France with Philipe Gallet & Pierre Le Van. There she deepened her interest in vintage European music and ‘gypsy jazz.’ Much of her repertoire comes from ‘The Great American Songbook’ with music that was written by music history greats, such as Cole Porter, Peggy Lee & Antonio Jobim.
