Kristina Finch, Harpist

Kristina is available for indoor and outdoor events*, event beach weddings**!

Weddings include a complimentary consultation session! Spend 30-45 min. with Kristina, designing the music around your service.

Kristina will always arrive to any event no less than 30 min. before the start.

* Outdoor events must have a level surface for the harp to sit on, and cover is preferred, although not necessary. Alternative location must be provided in the event of rain.
** Beach weddings are possible, but because of the damage caused by wind and sand, Kristina is unable to bring her fullsized harp for these events. Kristina has a small, red, instrument that will be used for such events.

A native of Williamsburg, Virginia, Kristina Finch is a professional harpist serving the South Florida area. She holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music, Rochester, NY (BM ‘08, DMA ‘14) and Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL (MM ‘10) as well as being a recipient of the prestigious Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music. Kristina’s main teachers include Kathleen Bride, Mary Brigid-Roman, and Barbara Chapman.

Kristina has performed with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Virginia Choral, Ohio Light Opera, Florida Festival Singers as well as many other orchestral and choral ensembles. She held the position of principal harpist for the Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes, Elmira, NY from (phone number hidden)3 and participated in the 2013 Eastman Wind Ensemble Toronto tour. An experienced chamber musician, Kristina is has performed with various ensemble types and is a founding member of the Mana Duo, with saxophonist Dannel Espinoza. As a competition winner Kristina has been a featured soloist with multiple orchestras, and in 2013 was a finalist for the American Harp Society National Solo Competition, held in Los Angeles, CA.

Dedicated to music education, Kristina has experience giving outreach presentations to elementary and middle school children, reaching as many as 1,000 students in a single day and has taught at both the collegiate and private levels. Kristina maintains an active private teaching studio in South Florida, and is currently accepting students.

Fun facts!

-Kristina has an English Bulldog named “Bacon” who loves very short walks and extensive belly rubs.
-After 3 years in upstate New York completing her Doctorate Kristina could not be more pleased to be living in sunny Florida! Upon arrival, she promptly bought a huge container of sunscreen to protect her northern skin!
-Kristina’s favorite color is Aqua blue.
-Kristina LOVES shoes.
-When Kristina isn’t playing the harp she loves to cook, read, and spend time with her boyfriend and bully baby.
