La Reina Burlesque Performer

High Glamour and artistry, I am a performer who revels in the experience.

With high drama, flare, and sparkle I aim to wow, inspire, and adore my audience. With a blend of ballet, tango, classical, and club- my form of burlesque can vary between the glamour of the 1920's to the fashionable colors of the 70's and 90's, of which I draw inspiration. I enjoy employing colors, fabric, and movement that has been likened to water and a whirlwind.

I aim to keep my audience engaged and for each participant to feel special, cared, and loved through the art and experience of dance.

Born and raised in Compton, California I had the opportunity to be surrounded, influenced, and nourished by the artistry of the Black Community experience. With a Soul Train Dancing- Saxophone Playing- Hollywood Community Theatre Acting Father turned Pastor I grew up under the stage lights. I played beneath pews and behind stages, wrote my own works of art and performed a few of them.

I was connected to my Spiritual journey and path despite the fear of the wrath of God, challenged the dedication of the church with my blossoming queer and femme identity, and once given the opportunity to leave home and explore myself, I did.

About the Artist:
I've had many a-jobs and opportunities, but nothing fuels me more than being on the stage, expressing myself, and following in my Ancestors shoes as a practitioner and dancer.

I grew up in dance, from the denial of a Black body in ballet to the expression of Spiritual domination within liturgical dance- I found myself through moment, story, and cloth. I reveled in contemporary, musical theatre, salsa, and tango- and finally, to burlesque.

In my dance, I am inspired by many performer around the world and throughout history. I aim to share my love of the form, my desire to tell a story through song and dance, and to move freely through space- taking up as much as I can, if not more with tease, freedom, and a love of life that is palpable.

I strive to arrive at the destination no later than 30mins before my call time.
