Melissa John is a multi-award-winning rapper, singer, actress, and songwriter. She performs under the stage name Lady Marga MC. East London is her home, and she is known for her musical talent. She is of Jamaican, Indian, and Saint Lucian origin and has been active in music since she was a young child. Her interest in music began in primary school, and she continued to develop it while she was in college by studying music and performing arts. During school, she also enjoyed a successful past time playing football for teams such as Tower Hamlets, Arsenal Juniors, and Charlton. However, she was forced to hang up her boots after suffering an injury.
Marga has collaborated with some of the most well-known musicians in the world, including Jason Derulo, Snoop Dogg, The Game,Basement Jaxx, Capleton, Sean Kingston,
TQ, Fatman Scoop, Doris Pearson of Five Star, Stamma Kid,Kali Ranks BackPack Shawty, Sun from Gunit/Zoolife, Mad Professor, Don Diablo & Mason, MC DT, Denzee, amongst many others. She has been featured in major publications and outlets such as The Source, Billboard Hiphop, NME, The Guardian, Heat Magazine, Jamaica Star, BET TV and Vox Africa TV to name a few, and she has received attention from national radio stations, securing airplay on mainstream global stations such as BBC Radio 1.
Marga has won countless awards during her career, including a MOBO Award for best-unsigned artist in 2010.
Marga was featured on the Basement Jaxx Crazy itch Radio Album {with her song run4cover} {signed to XL Recording} The Album when platinum and sold over a million records worldwide

Lady Marga MC had a role in the film 'Jericho's Walls Are Falling' acting alongside British Actors Jason Flemyng, Gideon Turner, Patrick Robinson,and Marc Zammit. and has been a extra in films such Zero, Sket 2011, Heart Divided and The Knot
