LaMar NYC is a live music project that draws on the spirit of LatinAmerican rhythms, to perform music with the ability to turn a performance into a full’blown world-music trip of a party, propelling audiences to their feet and taking them on a musical journey that crisscrosses the Iberian peninsula, the Americas and beyond.

Some of the musical talent that belong to this collective are; Guitar: Eric Kurimski, Sebastian Cruz, Richard Padron. Bass: Matt Geraghty, Juan Gallego. Sax/flute: Alex Terrier, Ze Luis. Drums: Pablo Bencid, Yayo Serka, Lautaro Bustos. Percussion: Samuel Torres, Manuel Carro, Ramiro Scalzi, Felipe Fournier, Violin: Ernesto Villa-Lobos.

LaMar performs regularly throughout NYC and at major events, festivals, and celebrations around the East Coast. LaMar has performed before audiences from 50-2000, at regularly scheduled performances and residences around NYC, to rooms of more than 3,000 people. LaMar has been part of “Fiesta DC”, in Washington D.C. where they performed for more than 5,000 people. Annually, LaMar performs for over 3,000 people at Bryant Park Summer Series concerts in NYC. The band is also a regular guest in Bethel NY at a concert inspired by the Woodstock spirit, as well as in Nantucket Island, as part of a collaboration with Cisco brewery.

LaMar NYC es un proyecto de música en vivo que interpreta temas originales y populares, inspirados en el espíritu de la Rumba Española, el Flamenco, el ritmo del Son Cubano, el poder de los sonidos de Brasil y el magnetismo irresistible de la música Colombiana, entre una gran variedad de sonidos del mundo. El conjunto tiene el poder de transformar una presentación en una fiesta de viaje a través de la música internacional, levantando a la audiencia de sus asientos y transportándola en un recorrido musical a través de la península Ibérica, las Américas y más allá. Bajo la dirección del guitarrista clásico y cantante Nilko Andreas, esta banda explosiva basada en la ciudad de Nueva York, une a algunos de los mejores músicos en el área en presentaciones auténticas y poderosas que combinan el sabor de la música latina con el virtuosismo de sus premiados intérpretes.

LaMar se presenta regularmente a lo largo y ancho de Nueva York en grandes eventos, festivales y celebraciones de la costa Este. LaMar se ha presentado frente a audiencias de 50 a 200 personas, en eventos regulares y residencias en NYC, en aforos de más de 1,000 personas. LaMar ha sido parte de “Fiesta DC”, en Washington D.C. donde dieron un concierto para más de 5,000 personas. También participan anualmente en la serie de conciertos de verano de Bryant park (Bryant Park Summer Series) en Nueva York ante 3,000 personas. La banda es un invitado regular en Bethel NY, en un concierto inspirado por el espíritu del legendario festival de Woodstock y también en la isla de Nantucket, como parte de una colaboración con la cervecería Cisco.
