GigSalad is a great way to find performers. Lamia was incredible. She was very professional and worked well with our students. They were very impressed when she danced with the sword. We loved it when she took time with the students and taught them some of the dances. THANK YOU!

I hired Lamia for my husband's 60th surprise birthday party. She was willing to work with me from start to finish and make it a true surprise, no one suspected a belly dancer would show up mid party. Our friends really enjoyed the performance, and the music. My husband's favorite music is classic rock so she added some of those songs to her playlist.

Lamia Chusi performed at a birthday party I attended in April 2017. She was a big hit! Her costume, dances, and music choices were perfect for the party. And she even danced with a sword and veil!!! She was able to get the party guests dancing with her. Everyone wanted to take pics with her afterwards. She was very professional, on time, and friendly. I highly recommend her for events.

Professional belly dancer and lifelong stage and film performer, Lamia is highly skilled in the art of traditional and theatrical belly dance. She performs at private and public events and instructs weekly classes, private lessons and workshops.
Lamia's love of belly dance has led her to study many genres (Raqs Sharqi, ATS, ITS, Tribal Fusion, Zambra Mora, Kawliya), as well as incorporating props like veil, zills, wings, sword, shamadan and even fire props. She has trained with many local and international artists such as Alana Ouazzani, April Rose, Silvia Salamanca, Alla Kushnir, and Alex Delora. She has earned a dance certification by Belladonna Boheme. Continued dance education is a priority to Lamia so she makes sure to take consistent workshops and classes in the U.S. and abroad, to strengthen her skills.
Performance and dance have always been a part of her life, her very first performance was at the age of 3 at the San Antonio Sunken Garden Theater. Lamia has extensively studied Middle Eastern dance, ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop along with theater arts. Acting is also a passion of Lamia's and she has had the opportunity to work in film in Austin, San Antonio and other cities in Texas. She has worked on From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, The Leftovers, American Crime, Alita Battle Angel and other productions.
