In the pocket. New Orleans based drummer vocalist and bandleader Ian Petillo, keeps it swingin’ and dynamic with his Legacy Jazz Band for twenty years, and dedicated himself to Jazz and Blues in its most authentic nature. His versatility and artistry amplifies what traditional American music is about. Under the tutelage of his mentor Howie Mann, Ian has become a uniquely talented musician. As a performer, audiences can expect a thoughtful energized show- not only behind the kit, but also as a lead vocalist raises the bar. This ensemble continues to revive the indigenous spirit of Jazz and Blues.

I would like to thank you and the Legacy Jazz band for participating in the gazebo ribbon cutting ceremony and performing for Glen Cove's July 4th festivities. Our annual celebration was a great sucess thanks to your magnificent entertainment. The musica lexperience allowed the audience to get into the spiritof the night, and made the evening all more enjoyable. Thank you again for a wonderful performance.

Thank you so much for the wonderful concert you all gave us last Friday evening. We thought that everything went perfectly and we know that the audience (including us) truley enjoyed hearing your superb renditions of so many favorite songs from the era that many in our audience remember with particular fondness. On behalf of the music adivisory Committee, I would like to thank you and the members of the Legacy Jazzz quintet for providing a wonderful musical afternoon at the Great Neck Library on sunday, May 23, filled the with classic sounds of Jazz and Swing.
The audience loved the performance and was happy to be taken back to the good old days of fabulous music composed by then likes of Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, and the Gershwins. I am pleased that there was such a positive response to the program.
