Lena spoke at our company's in-service which was held at Lowell Observatory. Our overall theme was Reaching for the Stars, with an emphasis on our mission. She presented "Mission Accomplished." Lena helped us identify how our personal mission, vision, and core values can be used to help our company achieve it's mission and vision; as well as see how our core values line up with the company's core values. Our setting did not lend itself to the typical media driven presentation. Lena was able to pivot and present the "Old fashioned way" with pen, paper, and handouts. The change in presentation style was a refreshing break from the daily technology overload from remote work. Our team thoroughly enjoyed the presentation and look forward to implementing the tools she equipped us with to accomplish our personal and company missions.

Our organization has been blessed with the opportunity to bring Lena onsite to teach her “Stitch it Up” program to all of our employees. The strategy she provided to our team was shared at a time in which we were looking for another way to pour resources and support into our employees, as the last few years have been very taxing on the overall well-being of our organization. Lena’s strategy was presented in an extremely relatable and accessible way, which was all due to her incredible, natural gift of being able to connect with both individuals, as well as engage an entire group in a safe and passionate manner. Her personal journey was woven into her instruction, which allowed our healthcare professionals to immediately gravitate to Lena as a speaker, as well as the content she was providing.
Our employees left the session(s) with Lena feeling supported, energized, refueled, and re-engaged with ways to handle the daily stressors of life (both personally and professionally). From start to finish, Lena was fully engaged with local leadership to plan and strategize her program to fit our unique needs as an organization and stayed in contact with us after our sessions to provide ongoing support and services. Lena’s expertise includes both personal and interpersonal skills development, which she believes are the foundations of success. Inspired by more than 20 years in hospitality and leadership, she went on to spend over a decade in corporate training where she designed and delivered custom training and facilitated programs from FranklinCovey, The Pacific Institute, Achieve Forum, and DiSC. In addition to several facilitation certifications, Lena holds degrees in Theater and English Literature. She is also an experienced emcee and event production consultant. As a keynote speaker, Lena has provided services for a wide variety of clients, including those who work in Hospitality, Gaming, Healthcare, Customer Service, Education, Administrative Professionals, Retail, Sales, and those who serve in Leadership roles across all industries.
Lena grew up in rural Minnesota, surrounded by a supportive family, despite her crazy dreams and pursuits. At the age of 8, Lena was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes, which taught her about mental strength and resilience, despite uncertainty and many other life lessons, which drive the message she shares with her audiences. In her free time, she is a youth program director for her church and often leads worship service. Among her list of proud accomplishments, she is a winner of two karaoke contests, a small-town talent show, and several local bar poker tournaments. She remains active in Community Theater, moonlights as a DJ, and loves adventure and new experiences. She lives in Minnesota with her husband and spunky dog, Moxie.
