We enjoyed Leslie. They arrived an hour before and were ready to play. We asked them to move outside as the weather improved and she did so willingly. Thanks leslie for coming to our place!
I highly recommend Leslie as a Christian musician. Her voice is beautiful and she willingly works with you to make your event what you want it to be. She is a gifted musician with a sense of humour and really knows how to connect with her audience. We would have her back again without hesitation!
Response from Leslie McKee Music:
Thank you so much, Kim, for your kindness. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Canada with your women’s group and am grateful these new friendships in my life. I would love to partner in ministry with you again sometime!

During concerts, Leslie shares songs from her recording projects and may include a few covers of songs by other artists that go well with her sets and reflect her story. She will include stories about the songs and testimony to how God has worked in her life, especially during some of the darkest days she's walked through. Depending on the event needs, Leslie will use original tracks to sing with and will also sing from the piano or keyboard. She may bring additional players and/or background vocalists with her based on the venue/event.
She would love to spend Sunday morning worshiping with your church family. Leslie can join your ministry team or lead by herself from the piano or keyboard. **There must be an opportunity for rehearsing prior to the service if choosing to have her lead with your church team.**
Leslie can also provide worship leadership for single or multiple day events. She would be happy to provide special music or share in concert in addition to leading worship and will tailor her services based on the needs of the event/venue.
Speaker for special events, retreats or conference breakout sessions
Speaking sessions often include songs interspersed throughout. Leslie shares from the life experiences listed below, or she would be happy to develop something to go with the theme of your event.

Pressed But Not Crushed: Holding On When You Feel Like Giving Up
What do you do when everything falls apart? No sugar-coating here! We’ll come face to face with the reality that life is hard and really not all that fair at times.
Another Mile: The Road to Becoming an Independent Artist
For those interested in following their musical dreams, Leslie talks about her journey to becoming an independent artist and shares resources that are available to help you on your way.
A ministry weekend is a great way to combine the above offerings. Saturday morning will start with an intimate time of worship, followed by a speaking session where she’ll share on the topic “It’s a Matter of Heart.” This can be done over coffee or brunch or it can be divided into two smaller sessions with a short break between them.
There will be a break for lunch, either provided by the church/venue or everyone on their own. The day will resume with optional breakout sessions during the afternoon. These would include: working with your worship team/band as described above under Worship Consultant; working individually or as a group on vocal elements such as maintaining vocal health, warm ups, and taking a look at how stylistic expression fits (or doesn’t fit!) while leading worship; piano or keyboard instruction; or, take a look at the life of an independent artist and the resources available to follow your God-given dreams.
Dinner can be provided by the church/venue or everyone on their own. The day will conclude with an open mic time followed by a short concert. This part of the weekend can include participants from the daytime activities as well as anyone else who would like to come.
Leslie’s time with you will conclude on Sunday morning, at which time she will be available to lead worship with your team or by herself, and to provide special music, which can be anywhere from a song or two to a concert to fit an amount of time of your choosing. If you prefer, she can simply be a part of the church body and worship with you from the pew.
Need a little background music for your banquet, Christmas party, or wedding? Leslie is quite comfortable on the keys and would enjoy providing this for you.
Leslie McKee is an independent Christian artist who shares a message of redemption, restoration, and relationship woven through songs and stories from her heart and life. She has been a roster artist with Creative Soul Records since releasing her debut EP, True to You, in 2009. Her single, What Love Looks Like, was produced by Grammy award-winning producer, Phil Naish, and was included on the 2013 We Are Creative Soul project celebrating the 15th anniversary of Creative Soul Records. She released a Christmas single, Jesus Born on This Day, in December 2016, which is also included another Creative Soul Records compilation project, Timeless Christmas.
Leslie has once again teamed up with producer Eric Copeland of Creative Soul Records for her first full-length album, Another Mile, which is a collaborative work with some of Nashville’s finest players, producers, and writers. Leslie’s vocals soar to new heights to deliver a mix of pop-infused tunes and powerful ballads which are sure to become favorites of fans both old and new and will have you singing along.
“Another Mile is the culmination of the many miles traveled to work on this project and
the many places my heart has journeyed over the past few years. My desire is that my life experiences will be used as a platform to shine the light of Jesus into the dark places…that the songs on this album will offer hope to the broken in spirit and will encourage those who are weary to keep holding on.”
While you’re going to hear a different side to her artistically on the new album, what hasn’t changed is her desire to share the love of Jesus with those around her. Leslie doesn’t shy away from talking about real life and hopes that by doing so, others will know they are not alone in their struggles. You’ll hear of brokenness and despair on Rest Assured, Hold On, Broken, Another Mile and Love Won’t Let You Go; but rather than leaving you in that place, you’ll find renewed hope to not give up, but to press in and hold on to the love of our Savior who relentlessly pursues us.
“Life has a way of coming at us…sometimes good, and sometimes hard. In those hard times, it may take all we have to get up in the morning and will ourselves to breathe. We need something or someone to hold on to, and that something is HOPE and is found in the person of Jesus Christ. There have been many times when I’ve felt like giving up, but I’ve come out on the other side alive and full of hope. I want to be able to encourage others to hold on!”
You’ll be challenged to be more aware of the needs of others on His Love, Along the Way, and What Love Looks Like. It’s easy to get so caught up in our own lives, problems, and busyness, that we fail to spend time getting to know the Father’s heart and may miss his nudges to reach out to someone in need.
Simpler Time takes a look at current trends that lead us away from biblical truths, and instead lead us to watered-down theology that is self-serving. Wrapping up an incredible track list are What You’re Made Of, which reminds us to tune out the voices that tell us we’re not good enough or beautiful enough and to grab on to the truth that we have value and were created with a purpose, and I’m Alive, which encourages us to embrace today and not merely survive, but THRIVE!
In addition to having an active concert ministry, Leslie is a respected worship leader. She has served in church music ministry in different capacities for over 25 years and has focused on worship leadership for the past 15 years. Her passion and sensitivity to the Spirit are evident through the worship times she plans and leads. She also enjoys encouraging others in their gifting and offers private voice and piano instruction from her home.
Leslie would love to travel many more miles to share her songs and testimony in concert or to provide worship leadership for your church service, special event, retreat, conference, or to provide a ministry weekend.

Stylistically speaking, Leslie's most recent album release, "Another Mile", is likely to put McKee as a peer to say Francesca Battistelli, while she’s also a massive Natalie Grant appreciator and shapes her songwriting narratives based on inspiration from the incomparable Steven Curtis Chapman. In fact, it was in seeing that very CCM legend on stage in Nashville about ten years ago (when she won tickets to the entire GMA Week and Dove Awards from an artists’ conference she attended) that was the final spark needed to officially get started on this extraordinary journey.
“When he sang ‘Much Of You,’ at that show, which also included Casting Crowns and Chris Tomlin when they were just starting out, I was just overwhelmed with emotion and it was almost like a prayer resounding in my heart,” remembers McKee. “The lyrics were words I identified with deeply, which inspired me in stepping out on my own."
From a worship perspective, she has been influenced by artists such as Meredith Andrews and Kari Jobe.
