What to Expect
The Client
Once you decide to collaborate with me, I'll first want to spend time understanding the details of your event or special occasion. This includes, but is not limited the theme, purpose, demographic, venue, and overall vision of what you have planned! Following that I'll craft a one-of-a-kind set that aligns with what we discussed. The set can have a stripped down acoustic feel with one musician by my side or be a bit more grandiose with a full band + background singers. It all will depend on budget and what you're going for overall! Aside from a well executed performance, you can expect great communication, professionalism and enthusiasm on my end because this is what I love to do!
The Audience
When I grace the stage, your audience can expect to be captivated, inspired and drawn in by what the band and I will offer. I'm known not only for my stage presence, but also my wide vocal range and bright, rich tone. They should also be ready for some fun moments to interact with us as we do our thing!
About
Lex The Visionary is a music artist based in Atlanta, GA who was originally born in D.C. and raised in Prince George's County, MD. Her foundation in music began when she asked her mother to sign her up for piano lessons at age 6. She nurtured this talent for 7 years which helped train her ear and base understanding of music theory. During the same time, Lex was a member of her church’s children’s choir “The Sunbeams”- another early building block on her musical journey. Lex The Visionary’s sound is genre-bending with heavy R&B and Hip Hop influences. She loves to tell a story with her grounded melodic tone, Rap and Pop influenced writing style and by weaving in special vocal moments for her audience’s listening experience. In Atlanta, she’s been a featured artist in numerous talent showcases across the city and co-wrote an original song for the 2022 Suzi Bass Award winning theater production, The Light which ran at the Horizon Theatre. Lex’s debut EP LOTUS gives listeners a moving insight into the steps it took for her to regain her identity after self-neglect and heartbreak. It’s a four track masterpiece composed of moving lyrics, bold cinematic sounds and vulnerable storytelling.
