Little Pony Express

Pony ride ponies are hand-led miniature horses (34 inches tall) suitable for children 60 pounds and under to ride. The ponies arrive clean and decorated to fit the theme of the party. One pony will be enough for 12 children to ride twice in one hour. We also have smaller ponies just for petting and a white pony who comes dressed as a unicorn. The pony-drawn vehicles are pulled by either one or two miniature horses, with no weight limit on riders. The pony wears a special horse diaper so there is no worry about accidents and for times a pony might be inside a building (as inside a nursing home) they wear both bun bags (pony diapers) and hoof protection so they don't slip on floors. We can visit one shut-in or provide entertainment for a larger corporate event. We also have a pony-sized stage white Cinderella coach ( perfect for princess parties) and a calliope that can be used as photo backdrops for special events and themed parties (western, cowboy, circus, etc.)

This is Jan Sharp's 56th year in the equine entertainment and educational business. She is a clinician, riding instructor, and author. Her horses have earned 28 world and reserve world championships in the show ring, and are also high-schooled exhibition trick horses who have performed across the country. Her horses have appeared in TV commercials and been featured in many magazine articles and newspapers.

We require a safe, flat, dry, and quiet place to work. The riding ponies can be hand-led in most backyards, but the vehicles can only be used on hard surfaces such as a parking lot. We try not to take our ponies and vehicles on public roads for safety. We also require a place to park our large truck and trailer that is close to the venue we will be working at.
