Oils start at $900 for 24x30’ and the pricing goes up depending on the complexity and size. I also ask my clients whether they prefer the scene to wrap around the edges or just paint the edges one solid color. Half of my clients want solid color and half want the scene to continue around the edges.

I usually complete 85-90% of the painting at the venue but then I have to stop. Oils dry slowly and even if I wanted to add another brush stroke it may not be possible. I would be blending in the wet paint color under the new stroke and everything becomes muddy. I take the painting back to my studio and a few days later when the layers are dry; I touch up and let it dry for1-2 weeks before my clients can pick it up. Most couples do come to my studio in Richardson; most of them have never been to a real art studio and they love the experience. If they can’t come over, I deliver the piece to them or we meet half way through. Picture is wired and ready to hang.
