Lonnie Jones - Vocals/Guitar Leading TN Shine you will find that Lonnie Jones has a style that will keep you on the dance floor. He is noted for his work in the bluegrass music but enjoys singing country songs too. He is multi-talented playing guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, dobro and bass. Lonnie also has a
bluegrass band that tours Nashville. Lonnie’s friend Bill Monroe has had a deep impression on his music. Lonnie played country music for several years with his own band in the Nashville area. Lonnie started TN Shine to promote traditional country music and to keep the great songs alive. He saw a need to provide true country music to dancers and listeners. Tom Campbell -Fiddle/Vocals - As one of the most versatile musicians in Nashville, Tom is a great asset to this band. Tom is an vocalist, songwriter, music producer, and a studio musician playing violin, bass, guitar, dobro and banjo. Tom has performed TV shows such as the Merv Griffin Show, Pop Goes the Country, Ralph Emery Morning Show & more. He has been a guest artist on the Grand Ole Opry, hosted a radio show on WSM in Nashville, and has been the opening act for Roy Clark, Ray Price, Freddy Fender to name a few. He has been the lead guitar player for Billy Walker, Leroy Van Dyke, Wanda Jackson, Connie Smith, The Judds, and George Hamilton, IV. Tom keeps the band jumping with his great country fiddle.
Roger Ball - Lead Guitar - As one of the most noted guitar players in Nashville, Roger will keep you tapping your toes. Roger has been in the staff band for Loretta Lynn, Gary Morris, Holly Dunn, Charlie Pride, Ed Bruce and Bobby Bare. Roger has recorded with Ray Price, Willie Nelson, Gene Watson, Clinton Gregory, Faron Young, Johnny Carver, Stonewall Jackson, Butch Baker w/ Emmylou Harris
Floyd Cramer, Dennis Weaver, Hugh X Lewis, and Jack Greene & more. He has performed with likes of Ray Price, Faron Young, Justin Tubb, Charlie Louvin, Don Gibson, Clinton Gregory and Grandpa Jones to name a few. You will recognize those guitar riffs that Roger made famous in his music.
Mike Dunbar- Bass Player - is a producer, musician, singer, songwriter, teacher, and journalist living in Nashville, Tennessee, He is the bass player for the Nashville Cowboy Church, the widest broadcast country/gospel radio program in the world. Mike has played on stage with the likes of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Razzy Bailey, Tim McGraw, Brenda Lee, Larry Gatlin, Kathy Mattea, John Prine, Bobby Bare, Jett Williams, Connie Smith, Rhonda Vincent, Leona Williams among many others. Mike is one of the best and most sought after bass players in Nashville. We are proud to have him as a band member.
Ron Elliott - Steel Guitar- As a member of the International Steel Guitar Hall of Fame, Ron is one of the best steel guitarist in the world. He has been a band member playing with: Stonewall Jackson; Jack Greene, Jeannie Seely; Charlie Louvin; Johnny Carver and freelanced playing for Ernest Tubb; Kitty Wells; Cal Smith; Justin Tubb; Johnny Bush; Ray Price; Melba Montgomery; Claude Gray and others. Ron is a very patriotic, sincere person and has the ability to reach out to the audience and hold their attention with his soulful, smooth playing along with his great wit and humor.
Steve Underwood – Drummer As one of the highest respected drummers in Nashville, he is one of the best. He has played for Vern Gosdin, Jack Greene, Suzy Boggess , Chris Scruggs, Leona Williams, Razzy Bailey, David Church, and Travis Ledoyt just to name a few. Steve is originally from Evansville, IN and has been playing in Nashville for 13 years. Steve has worldly experience with 2 MWR-USO tours traveling to South Korea, Guam, Japan, and Singapore, If you ask any of the musicians in this area “who do you want to be the drummer”, they say definitely “Steve Underwood”.
