Where ever you deposit your energy is where you withdraw your interest. Meaning. I use the stage as my classroom. My music is actually autobiographical and I don't exaggerate nor do I pretend to be a character that I'm not. So as I perform every song with high energy and not anyone else on the stage with me. I'll wait until the last song that I'm gonna perform, which is gonna be any song that is the complete opposite of the high energy songs, and I will explain to them what, why and how come I have recorded the song. I'll tell them about me and my life battles with the hopes of making a change in someone's life. Purposely using my own life's trials and tribulations to help show someone who is masking their pain, that it is okay to ask for help.
Lord Salaam is an independent recording artist and the founder of the independent recording label Grand View Music Group from North Charleston South Carolina. Lord Salaam is an original member of Charleston South Carolina legendary hip hop family "Tha Carolina Pathfindaz." Being a member of Tha Pathfindaz, early in his rap career, allowed him to take the stage to open up for artists such as Outkast,Cash Money,Lil John,Petey Pablo and Trina, just to name a few. However, his music career goals were derailed by his continued life in the streets. He was federally indicted in 2006 for conspiracy and weapons charges. With federal prosecutor's lack of evidence to be able to get a conviction for the conspiracy charges,he was presented with and he accepted a guilty plea deal for the weapons charges and was sentenced to 106 months in federal prison. He was released from prison in September of 2013 with no plans to return back to music. Then in 2018,with the encouragement of his youngest son and his producer Sincere,he began his solo career as an independent recording artist and now the founder of his own independent recording label "Grand View Music Group." His first solo release single "I Can't Help It " that was distributed by Tunecore, wasn't of much success. Not to be deterred by the lack of success or support for "I Can't Help It" Lord Salaam went back in the booth and recorded "Trained2Go,""I'sa Him" and "Haunted By" and over 98k streams later,he's showing no signs of stopping. He has now inked a distribution agreement with Symphonic and he is set to be releasing his new banging single "2 Steppin" in mid September along with the video,it's set up to be a hot winter.
