ROBIN MCAULEY-VOCALS
BANDS- McAuley Schenker Group, Survivor
His amazing voice, incredible song writing capabilities and charismatic personality have granted Robin McAuley worldwide commercial success as a live performer and television/radio artist.
Robin is well known for his vocal versatility and professional demeanor. His longstanding career has provided him the opportunity to work with Grammy winning producers such as David Foster (featured soundtrack “If looks could kill”) and Frank Farian (Project Far Corporation), landing him a Top 5 in the English charts with his remake of “Stairway to heaven”.
In the past the Irish native lent his voice to multiple studio productions including “Elements of Friction” (a project with Ricky Phillips (Babies, Bad English), Tommy Aldridge (Whitesnake, Ozzy, Ted Nugent) and Marcus Wand), as well as multiple tribute records such as Garth Brooks, Aerosmith, Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden etc.
Always looking for new challenges, Robin got involved in voice over‟s and television with such projects as the Def Lepard TV-Remake of the Bands Biography, Def Lepard Hysteria – Voice Over for Joe Alliot, and sang the “Buick Regal” & “Burger King” TV Commercial of Edgar Winter‟s re-make “Free Ride”. Both commercials ran over a two year period nationwide. Keeping his European roots intact, he sang the “Doritos - Allen Guitar Hero” commercial for British TV, which can be looked up on YouTube. He continues to be involved in on-going projects with Mark Ferrari, whose co-production of “Money Hungry” receives continuous play on TV shows like “Entertainment Tonight”, “Access Hollywood”, and was featured on the soundtrack for “Cruel Intention” and played during the Winter Olympics Kayaking Events.
For the last five years, Robin headed the Grammy winning band “Survivor” as the lead singer and recorded several, still unreleased, songs with Frankie Sullivan. His involvement with Survivor came to an end in early 2012 to give way to a 32 date North American reunion tour with former partner and guitar virtuoso Michael Schenker. MSG had worldwide commercial radio success with songs like “Anytime”, “Gimme your love”, “Take me back”, “Follow the night, “Bad Boys”, “When I‟m gone”, and “Never ending Nightmare”. Each album was supported with a worldwide tour; both as a Headliners and support act to bands like “Great White”, “Rush”, “Whitesnake”, “Def Lepard” to name but a few.
Robin continues to stay busy with the Rock „n Roll Fantasy Camp, where he is both a counselor and performer and always finds time to jam with his fellow musicians in an all-star band consisting of Rudy Sarzo, Robert Sarzo, Simon Kirk, Howard Leese, Kip Winger, Mark Farnam, Teddy Zig Zag, and many more. Robin‟s ability to engage the audience while maintaining the integrity of each song, makes him a true Pro and valuable front man.
“LORDZ OF ROCK” is Robin‟s latest project and promises to be a mega success. The star-studded line-up includes Rudy Sarzo (bass), Robert Sarzo (guitar), Simon Wright (drums) and Teddy Zig Zag (keys).
