We are a professional acoustic duo and our elegant, high caliber sound is ideal for cocktail hours, ceremonies, rehearsal dinners & intimate gatherings. Whether the need is for quiet, background music to weave through the room and relax guests, or if a front and center performance with sing-alongs is preferred, we are equipped to accommodate the event. We're prompt, professional, flexible and will masterfully create a stress-free, and magical experience. We offer piano, guitar, lead and harmony vocals. Also available as a trio with percussion & 3-part harmonies. Whatever you choose, we deliver in full! Covering Carole King, Eric Clapton, Sarah Mclachlan, Fleetwood Mac, and many more!
Lori and Fred are superb musicians, with a special connection to each other, but also with their audience. I classify their music as a combination of jazz, blues, adult contemporary and rock. We've seen them in small and large venues, playing their wide variety of music - they have something to please everyone. We've had them perform for our annual party; the "venue" is a 24' x 24' great room with a cathedral ceiling, and everyone loved them. I highly recommend them for parties, corporate events, whatever! I could see them easily being a great fit for a small, lower-key wedding even! (I don't think the chicken dance or macarena are in their repertoire, though!)
Lori & Fred are the secret sauce to a beautiful and successful event! Not only are they professional and easy to work with, their music will delight and welcome your guests. People still comment about how magical the gathering was and the sweet and soulful music was a big part of that. Their harmonies and musicianship will far exceed your expectations and make you the star for finding such a sparkling gem! I recommend them with the highest confidence!
Lori and Fred were the perfect musical duo for our wedding. We love their beautiful, heart-centered music and are entranced by the warm, effortless musical synergy that flows between two of them. We highly recommend hiring them for your wedding or any event!
It is not often that there are musicians whose music, both vocally and instrumentally actually touch your soul before you are even aware of it. There is a uniqueness in how they can fill an event , with both their original work and covers that add a touch of newness to what is familiar in an entirely new manner.
I have seen them many times and have also hired them to perform at a large conference I manage. Their musicianship is impeccable and they are the sweetest people to work with to provide to you exactly what you want for any occasion.
I highly recommend that you consider them for your event and know you will be more than happy you did.
Lori and Fred are very special musicians: they have a gift of singing and writing from the heart and soul in a way that is sure to touch the heart and soul of the audience. Their music is not only beautiful, but nourishing and inspiring. All the guests at the house concert I organized LOVED their music and were delighted they had been part of the evening.
Lori and Fred performed at our house concert series, Cherry Bridge House Concerts. They were not only great entertainers, but they are wonderful people to work with. The music was superb, whether it was their own original music or a cover. They are both outstanding musicians and the harmonies were beautiful. In between the two sets, they mingled with our guests and were very friendly and gracious. Everyone who came loved the show and loved talking with them. I would recommend them to anyone hosting a musical event.
This will be the second time Lori and Fred will be the featured act at The Music Room
Boston, my in house concert venue.
They are exquisite musicians with gorgeous original songs that stay in your head long after the music stops. And their delightful and passionate personalities keep them in your heart even longer.
Response from Lori Diamond & Fred Abatelli :

We arrive on time (or early), we present ourselves professionally, and we roll with any unexpected challenges that may be presented. We bring our own BOSE sound system, and have all of the gear we need to create high quality sound that isn't over-bearing. Once we are booked, there is no need to worry about the music - we've got you covered and do everything possible to eliminate stress from the host.
The audience would be very familiar with the songs we perform (unless original music is preferred). Our sound is non-intrusive, nostalgic and gentle, with the occasional up-tempo, rockin' tune. We are more mellow than up-tempo, but we surely don't put anyone to sleep. We strive to provide a compelling performance in every situation.
Carole King, Eric Clapton, Norah Jones, Diana Krall, Joni Mitchell, Sarah Mclachlan, Bill Withers - do you love these artists? These are just a few that we cover in our always professional, elegant and high caliber musical sets. Our sound is truly ideal for cocktail hours, ceremonies, rehearsal dinners or intimate receptions. We intuitively match the mood of the situation. Whether the need is for quiet, background music to weave through the room and relax guests, or if a front and center performance with sing-alongs is preferred, we are equipped to handle whatever comes our way. We want you to feel taken care of. Once you hire us, you don't have to deal with the musical details (unless you want to). We are prompt, professional, flexible and will do everything we can to create a stress-free, and magical experience. We offer piano, guitar, lead and harmony vocals. We can also bring in a percussionist and have three-part harmonies. Whatever you choose, we promise to deliver in full! Brightest Blessings to you for a beautiful life together. Please note, while we are performing original artists, we have a vast catalog of covers with something for everyone.
Lori Diamond & Fred Abatelli are an acoustic force like no other. Soaring vocals and delicious harmonies abound as Fred deftly weaves thoughtful sounds from his acoustic Martin around Lori's orchestral piano work. These NYC & Boston natives have served as background musicians for a myriad of successful acts in their music careers, and their newest incarnation is a soulful acoustic, contemporary folk duo with jazz & gospel leanings. In recent years, they've accompanied Peter Yarrow of Peter Paul & Mary, Joan Osborne, Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls, John Gorka and so many other incredible artists. Their lyrics offer compelling themes like living an authentic life, effects of Karma and Soul's reunions. Find their award winning CDs, ever-expanding tour dates, and other exclusive content at their website.

"Stunning, stellar, beautiful, graceful, peaceful, exciting... This is the kind of music and songwriting that I live for."

"Storytellers at heart, they combine a beautiful classical piano and a warm-toned guitar to make music that seeps into the soul and permeates the senses."
Jennifer Russo, Pulse Magazine
We just require enough space to set up our instruments, mics and sound system. It's not a huge footprint, and we can accommodate a fairly small space.
We require a reliable electrical source.
We do not bring our own lighting, as it is not typically needed.
We do supply all aspects of the sound system.
If we are to use a piano on site (which is preferred), it must be in tune.
We require a place to park our vehicle that isn't too far away. Otherwise, a load in area.

We bring everything we need, unless there is a tuned piano available at the venue. We prefer to use an acoustic piano, but will happily bring a professional keyboard if one is not available.
