Luis and his guys were all great to work with! We used them for a Christmas Party for our church and had around 375 in attendance. Everyone loved it! The band showed up when they said they would, worked with our program and did an amazing job! Highly recommend Los Tres Amigos!

We hired this performer from Los Tres Amigos for a “Solo Amigo” performance. Luis played trumpet and ukelele, and the crowd loved it when he passed around maracas, tamborines, and a cowbell so we could all jam with him. He brought a sombreror for the birthday boy (my dad) to wear. Luis gamely learned the Notre Dame fight song as a surprise for my dad. I appreciated Luis’s friendliness and professionalism, and the music was fun and entertaining. I’m so glad we hired Los Tres Amigos for our event!

For my best friends Mexican themed couples shower, we surprised them with El Mariachi Perdido, which is where just Luis came to play. This was the most reasonably affordable option for our group, and I LOVE that they offered this. Luis was professional, on time, communicative, and SO MUCH FUN!!!! We loved him!! The party started when he showed up!! Also, everyone loved his goodie bag of instruments and hats for us top play in. See some pictures below. Luis, we loved you and will definitely be using you, along with you group, in the future for other parties!!! Some of my favorite memories were the conga line, led by the bride and groom to be, and the limbo contest we had!! thanks again for such a fun time

Having gotten married in Mexico my wife really wanted a Mariachi band to play at our reception in Indy, unfortunately I had ZERO luck finding a responsive band in the area. After putting in a request on Gig Salad I was put in contact with Luis from Los Tres Amigos, not only did he give me some tips for finding a more local band, he offered to travel all the way there for our event for what I felt was a very reasonable price.
After another month of searching I gave up and went back to Luis who, after verifying availability, confirmed he could make it happen. Luis was very quick to respond to my emails and they did a great job during the reception. The only downside is that I didn't get to shake his hand and thank him again before he left because I was so busy with our guests. I'd highly recommend this band to anyone looking for a professional, easy to work with Mariachi band for any sort of event.

What to Expect
Our show provides a broad mix of class Latin music from classic Mariachi and other popular standards performed in the Latin and Spanish styles, Salsa grooves, tropical, and Bossa Nova. Our events are highly structured to accommodate our client's expectations. If required we can also set up a full PA system to perform Latin music in a band setting and then intermix our show with classic "walk around" music just like in the Mexican restaurants...a real hit with our past clients....giving the illusion of two bands....

I am Luis Trevino the trumpet player and point of contact for Los Tres Amigos. After leading the Latin Rhythms Salsa band from 1995 to 2009 I formed Los Tres Amigos due to local and regional demands. I also directed the Soft Note Combo from 1996 to 2015 (and current) playing jazz and Brazilian music. From my one band concept to employing more musicians I can offer a very broad range of solutions for your musical/entertainment needs for your event.
Los Tres Amigos (formed in 2010) - 3 musicans performing classic mariachi music with uniforms, traditional folk music, Spanich lyrics, lively presence! Los Tres Amigos have flourished in providing lively music from Birmingham to Indianapolis with unique Cinco De Mayo performances in the major downtown hubs of Nashville, Birmingham, and Huntsville in 2014 and 2015. The current band member Amigos include Mr. Bob Valentine (aka Roberto) and Mike McAlister (aka Miguel). Roberto contributes his classical and jazz virtuoso guitar skills including vocals to the Los Tres Amigos ensemble. Bob holds a degree in music performance from the University of Alabama in Huntsville AL and is the guitar professor of music at The University of North Alabama in Florence AL and at Snead State in Boaz AL. Miguel has been contributing his unique bass guitar skill to our group using his knowledge from his apprenticeship from Roberto and his experiences in playing in popular bands and teaching music including at Athens State College in Alabama. Los Tres Amigos are truly a unique ensemble providing lively energetic music from various genres of music for this unique ALABAMA homegrown flavor of Mariachi Music.

Wedding ceremonial music - able to attend rehearsal and perform with organist or solo.
"El Mariachi Perdido" (One Man Band) - variety of music, cozy events, background music, dinner music, corporate events, fundraisers. My name is Luis Trevino…..El Mariachi Perdido is my one man show without my two fellow Mariachi musicians from Los Tres Amigos (thus I am the Mariachi Perdido meaning "Lost Mariachi")…..Behind my trumpet, vocals, and my small guitar, I accompany with my own programmed Latin tracks with my full PA system…..I've been doing this show for many years now…..I do wear the Mariachi outfit with sombero and do sing in Spanish and play Mariachi trumpet when I am not singing or playing my small guitar….I've done this show at Mexican restaurants, churches, and private events in Alabama (Huntsville, Birmingham), Louisiana (New Orleans), Mississippi (Lucedale), and Kentucky (Louisville)…
Soft Note Combo - 3 to 4 musicians, lively, danceable, larger venues, wedding receptions, corporate events, balls, parties. Music here will be composed of jazz and soft salsa including merengue (low key), Brazilian, and pop standards. [Active from 1996 through current]
The Three Amigos Group- 3 musicans performing classic mariachi music with uniforms, traditional folk music, Spanich lyrics, lively presence! [Active from 2009 through current]. Los Tres Amigos have entertained audiences in major events across the South such as the Salsa Showdown in Birmingham from 2012 through 2014, the Rivers & Spires Music Festival in Clarksville TN, St. Anejo Cinco De Mayo in downtown Nashville in 2014, the Humane Society dog walk in downtown Chattanooga, the Panoply Arts Festival in Huntsville AL, and private events in Indianapolis, Birmingham, Huntsville, Nashville, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Bowling Green KY and the Atlanta and Memphis metro areas, including entertain college students from the Phi Kappa Epsilon frat house from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa AL in 2015 and 2016.
Los Dos Amigos - 2 musicians performing in more subtle quiet settings in private fiestas in homes and low key corporate events. Los Dos Amigos have entertained in Alabama (Gadsden, Anniston, Birmingham, Huntsville, Florence and more), in Tennessee (Nashville, Chattanooga), and in Georgia (Rome). Los Dos Amigos event participated in a commercial for Academy Jeep & Dodge in Bessemer Alabama.
Since 1996 I have been the band leader for the 4 piece Soft Note Combo and the seven piece Latin Rhythms Band since 1995. In 2003 & 2004 the Soft Note Combo twice was the opening act for the world renowned Glenn Miller Orchestra at the Von Braun Center (VBC) in Huntsville Alabama. In 2007 and 2008 the Latin Rhythms Band was the opening act at the VBC, respectively, for Cuban saxophonist Paquito D' Rivera (and his Latin band with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra conducted by Mexico's Carlos Miguel Prieto) and flautist (flute) Nestor Torres (and his Latin Cuban band). Both artists are Latin Grammy winners in the Latin Jazz genre.
The first CD for the Latin Rhythms Band is titled Lost Paradise and was released in 2004 featuring the styles of Latin Jazz, salsa, meringue, bachata, bolero, guaguanco, and originals.
The first CD for the Soft Note Combo is titled Sketches of Latin Rhythms and was released in 2007 and features the styles of jazz, Latin jazz, samba, originals, and salsa & rock flavors including tropical and bossa nova (music can be sampled in this site).

Influences & Inspiration
Playing with the Latin Rhythms Band (salsa, merengue, Latin rock) since 1995 has provided the depth to perform live, feel the overall ambience, and provide a nice musical atmoshpere for any event. In addition, being the opening act for Grammy winner Paquito D' Rivera and his Cuban band (2007) and for Grammy winner Flute player Nestor Torres (2008) has enabled higher standards in show and presence.
Playing with the Soft Note Combo jazz band has provided a deeper perspective to performing for corporate events, coat & tie events, and wedding receptions since 1996. Being the opening act twice for the world renown Glenn Miller Orchestra has contributed to our professionalism in performance.
