Response from Lou Johnson The Magical Juggler:
Thank you so much for the kind words! Hope to be there again for the next birthday party you throw. :-)
Lou was always responsive at each step of the planning process. His main performance at the center of the stage was great and his walk-around close-up magic really impressed everyone. He made sure to perform in front of all the events and involved the guest of honor multiple times.

What to Expect
PARLOR MAGIC SHOW or FORMAL CLOSE UP SHOW (Table and seating required. Indoors Only, Tents are fine.)
STROLLING MAGIC (Indoors or Outdoors)
Plenty of FUN with the WOW factor for your guests in my Close-Up Magic Show. Cards, coins, rope; handkerchiefs and borrowed rings and money appear, vanish and sometimes even in THEIR hands. Award winning and versatile, my creative magic plays BIG! (Hey, I'm 6'6". Everyone can enjoy the show!) OR if you need Strolling, NO PROBLEM. They'll see me stroll with effects from my pockets for the same price. Perfect for intimate venues like Club Macanudo in NYC. Portable Red and Black Backdrop available if needed.
KING CON! (Indoors or Outdoors)
For NYC Themed events, my 3 Card Monte is a WINNER. After 3 hours at a college event, they still couldn't find the ace. I had to start letting them win just to hand out the sweatshirts (prizes that were provided for the players) I can incorporate a logo or product into the pitch. Three Card Monte, Chain Swindle, Poker Deals, PLUS NEW DICE STACKING DEMO and other fast scams really bring them in and KEEP them there. Table is portable so I can go anywhere. Belt Pack Microphone with Music means your guests will know where the fun is. Close-Up magic also available at no extra charge. Casino Dealer Demo is also a GREAT OPTION!
About
My brother taught me my first card trick at the age of seven and I have been hooked ever since. As I got older I learned from magic books at my school and other public libraries. My first shows came from practicing magic with a school friend. We had performed at our local church and even at the Boston Children's Museum. In my high school years, I frequented The Magic Art Studio in Watertown, Mass. where I asked the owner, Ray Goulet, if I could do a work study there during Spring break. He said yes, and there along with cleaning up and selling magic tricks, I was taught some of the finer details of magic by such great people as Irv Weiner, David Cresey, Walter Cummings, Eugene Berger, and Father Cyprian. Ray even sponsored me into The I.B.M. Local Chapter #122. It was thanks to Chavez College Graduate Bruce McKenzie Johnson (no relation) for my first opportunities performing magic at birthday parties and other small events. In 1990, I was accepted to Clown College. From then until 2003, clowning and other circus arts have been my staple in entertaining audiences of all ages. My magic was minimal except for some of the classic standards. Now for the last two years, I am committed to taking my magical ideas and effects to the highest level of professionalism. I won the Close-Up Competition at Magic Funday, took a Gold Medal in Magic at Clownfest 2002 (both in NJ.) and wrote articles for Duane Laflin's newsletter HAPPY MAGIC entitled "Creativity Central".FAST FORWARD to more recently, I was once again behind the counter at a magic store but this time at FANTASMA Magic in NYC. Add to that my growing experience in Commercials and also for Casino Companies, it's safe to say the work is flowing nicely. It is my wish that more chances to lecture on both magic and juggling will come my way, so that I can give back to a new generation of magicians.
Additional Booking Notes
I'm the Early Bird in this business. I'll arrive (in the area) anywhere from 1-2 hours before my start time, JUST to be sure things will go smoothly. For Close-Up Magic, you have nothing to worry about. I have either a case table, a book box, or just my pockets to bring great magic that plays big. Need me to be BOTH a magician AND a juggler? No problem. Also I use a belt pack microphone with music to be heard in noisy environments. I have MANY outfits and I own 3 tuxedos and tailcoat too.
