Luke Embers is a Fire Knife dancer based in Chicago, IL. With his background in the performing arts for over 15 years, Embers has created his own unique style by fusing the ancient Polynesian artistry of Siva Afi with the contemporary beats of American hip-hop. His performance is a mesmerizing spectacle not seen anywhere else through the cadence of his breakdance spins and gravity-defying flips, leaving audiences breathless through the embers he leaves behind.

The Luke Embers Experience is a very interactive experience which includes fire dancing, live emceeing, and audience participation. Embers' style of fire dancing derives from the Polynesian Siva Afi (Fire Knife dance) that is fused with pop/hiphop music, so throughout the performance he teaches the audience the origins of the dance in a fun and modernized way. Toward the end of the show he brings up 1-2 audience members and teaches them how to twirl the prop used (without fire) and, in some cases, let them hold the prop with fire.
This is a never-before-seen show Embers has created. Book today to be among the exclusive who have witnessed it.
Active in the performing arts for over 15 years, Luke Embers has created his own unique dance style by fusing the ancient Polynesian artistry of Siva Afi and the contemporary beats of American hiphop. With his degree in IT and passion for entrepreneurship, he hopes working between the lines of tech and entertainment will allow him to explore the limits of Fire Knife by incorporating it into modern culture while honoring and acknowledging its traditional origin. He truly believes it can turn into a whole new genre of art and is here to explore that head-on.
Due to a larger fire being used in the show, the performance area should have at least 10ft of space away from the performer and audience members. If indoors, ceilings should be at least 15ft from the ground.
Simple lighting is needed for the emceeing segments of the show.
A provided sound system is preferred for the event, however, sound can be provided by the performer if needed. This includes a speaker system for music and microphone usage.
