Lydia is an incredibly talented violinist and so personable- absolutely wonderful to work with. The beauty and elegance she added to our wedding ceremony was praised by countless guests and made the event truly unforgettable. She took such a weight off of my shoulders during the preparation of the wedding as well- going far above and beyond by personally finding and distributing to our other musicians different renditions of the songs we love to fit our Celtic vibe. She even had connections to have pieces custom arranged! So much credit goes to her for setting the exact feel we were dreaming of for our wedding. We feel so blessed to have found her.
Lydia and an accompanist (sadly don't know his name) played at our son's wedding over Labor Day weekend in Madison.
It was beautiful!! Lydia was wonderful to work with, the music was perfect, and she and her accompanying player even worked out an arrangement for a song that the bride wanted to use.
They made the celebration sparkle!!!
Bravo!!!!
On August 19th we had a French Diner en Blanc birthday party to celebrate my wife's 60th. The party was held in the evening on the patio at a beautiful Italian restaurant. With great weather under the stars, the romantic setting needed the one special touch to make the event complete - music. Not just any music, but classic music that would blend with the Italian menu, formal white themed elegant dress, flowered decorations, and white lighted trees. Violinist Lydia Sewell and her accompanying accordionist Sergi were outstanding. They arrived on time as she promised to set up before the start of the event. As the guests arrived, they were greeted with the sights and sounds of would would become a night to remember. The party started with flowing energetic tunes which blended perfectly with conversation and drinks. The music continued later with sounds of soft violin melodies over dinner, and afterwards, back to duets and solos between the two musicians. The "concert" lasted into the night with the guests, hosts, and restaurant staff fully entertained. Lydia and Sergi were professional, delightful, and seemed like part of our family. With their exceptional musical skills and talent this celebration was the event of the year! In fact, we are talking about doing this again next year, even doubling the size. We will certainly hope that Lydia would be available to provide another evening of wonderful entertainment. We could settle for nothing less now that she spoiled us!
Response from Lydia Sewell:
