We had Lynn Callihan come for our community festival. It was a small crowd, but he played on, and gave us a good show. He was very down to earth and connected well with the people. Very talented guitarist and song-writer.
Response from Lynn Callihan:
Thanks Brian
Had a wonderful time if you ever need me again let me know.

I hired Lynn for a Friday night birthday party at a restaurant with 60 people attending. Lynn did a great job first providing background music of 60s, 70s, 80s covers, then gradually picking up the energy such that several people were dancing by dessert. As a bonus, he laid down some really soulful blues songs at the end of the night, and then gave us a recording of the entire night. I'd recommend him to others. His performance and his equipment are both very professional. Thanks Lynn!

Here's a brief description of what you can expect from one of my house concert and what you need to host one.
A House Concert is a live concert before a group of music enthusiasts by an artist or small group in a private residence or equivalent setting. It is a unique opportunity to meet and experience the performer up close and personal without amplification or other barriers between the performer and listener. The average house concert has 25-50 guests, its a two set show with intermission for socializing, beverages and potluck or simple snacks.
The opportunity to share the back story of the music and answer questions ends up a humorous and fun event for everyone.
For over two decades, the Northern Michigan songwriter has been described as “ear candy for the soul”. His evocative voice, haunting melodies, and percussive guitar technique creates a unique style of a dark Americana, Alternative Folk, and Blues.
Callihan’s songs are an innovative tapestry of loves lost, tragedy and triumph. Woven together they form his unique style that will surely entice and enhance your musical palette. His percussive style of playing is compared to the likes of Keller Williams and Michael Hedges.
Callihan is a music traditionalist. He plays a mixture of "people's music" and improvisational originals based in collective improvisation. His creativity is influenced by diverse sources like Bob Dylan, John Hyatt, Jerry Garcia and the Guthries, Woody and Arlo. Callihan seeks to examine every corner of the mind, through his music.
Since releasing his first album "Closer to Fossil", Callihan has seven additional albums to his credit. He is a steady presence on the American /folk and blues scene across the United States and Canada. He plays over 200 shows a year including national festivals, and local venues. Callihan was the featured artist at “Woodsong's Radio Hour,” and the Bluebird Cafe in a Nashville.
Callihan has shared the stage with David Loggins, Brian Vander Ark, Hot Tuna, Larry McCray, Don Schlitz and many more, He describes his style as a “Dark Americana Blues”, and because of this, his fans have dubbed his sound as "Ear Candy for the Soul"
