Madison Grambau is a classically trained pianist specializing in the music of Chopin, and other Romantic era masters such as Liszt, Schubert, and Grieg. In addition to also being a composer and a music transcriber, she has the ability to spontaneously improvise something new, as well. Her varied repertoire includes pieces by Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Debussy, Brahms, and Joplin; and she can also play excerpts from favorite childrens’ movies, tv shows, and video games; from jazz classic Linus and Lucy featured in A Charlie Brown Christmas, to music from Disney movies, and SpongeBob, and themes from the popular video game series Super Mario Brothers, MegaMan, Minecraft, and Spyro.

If you need a several-hour long concert show of brilliant and beautiful piano pieces from the minds of master composers, ranging from explosive, dramatic works, to lighter, romantic salon pieces, or a concert showcasing well-known video game music, then I can provide you with excellent service. Just provide the piano, and I will entertain your guests with the best of piano literature!
NOTA BENE: I am a concert artist. As such, the services I provide may be considered “too much” for “background music”. “Classical music” is NOT “background music”, and I mainly showcase Romantic Era piano literature. Even the salon music I provide can sometimes be considered “too busy” and/or “too loud” for someone expecting “background noise”. Keep this in mind when hiring me: I play what gets played in concert halls and in salons, and I am not a minimalist artist. I’m sorry for any confusion regarding this.
A classically trained pianist and composer based in Southern California, Madison Grambau has been playing for thirteen years, and is the author of dozens of piano pieces, mostly in the Romantic idiom, as well as being a music arranger and transcriber. She has played for Judith Diaz, Naomi Hobbs, Dr Cory Bell, Judith Johansen, Daniel del Pino, and Karen Joy Davis. She has studied and recorded over 160 of Chopin’s works, in addition to the music of countless other composers ranging from the Baroque and Classical eras to ragtime and the more modern music like that of Mussorgsky or the Impressionist, Debussy. Grieg’s piano concerto, Liszt’s Mephisto-Waltz, Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in d minor, Rachmaninoff’s Polichinelle, and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue are a few of the pieces that reside in her ever-expanding repertoire.
One of her favorite pastimes is exploring new piano pieces the way a person might dive into a new book.
I can bring my own keyboard if an acoustic piano is not provided.
