Madrigal Band

We saw The Madrigal Band two years ago we have been hoping to see them back in our area again. Finally got the email that they were going to "Rock Our World" on August 1st, and that's exactly what they did. Immediately after we got the email we reserved our room and seats to be sure we were first in the door!! We didn't think they could be any better than the first time, but we were wrong. They flat "Tore It Up" at the Island View Casino Showroom in Gulfport, Ms. It's just unbelievable how well this band totally works together. They feed off each others' energies and flow from one solo to the next seamlessly. Each member of the band has plenty of opportunities to contribute to the all around wholeness of the performance and we were into every move they made.
'Wonderful" doesn't give you to the big picture, You Had To Be There!! We couldn't tell who worked harder when it was over. Their musical workout left them soaked from all their efforts. We couldn't keep our eyes off Jose's strong, expressive hands and fingers as they danced over his guitar. We had no idea fingers could fly so fast! Bob just got better the longer he played. The more he played the bigger his smile! It was fun to watch him work his magic on the keyboards. Frank and Kevin exploded with drums and percussion sounds that held it all together so well. Their back and forth solos were simply amazing! Steve played his bass guitar like it was a part of him, and his vocals stood out strong. He has a beautiful voice and compliments the band very well! Elaine brought vibrant energy to the stage with her costumes and energetic dance moves. Her voice rings out clear and beautiful. What a treasure! Jan's saxophone sounds were next to perfect and blended well. The sax was a great addition and compliments the final product! Finally, we would like to mention that Debbie's artwork with the group's backdrop was outstanding and brings in the Santana theme beautifully. Wow! So glad we got to meet her this time.
The show's host told us how impressed he was with the band members mingling with the audience before and after the show. He had never seen this and neither had we until they came along. He expressed how awesome it was to see a band do this.
To summarize: It is obvious that The Madrigal Band is living and expressing their musical dreams by working together with endless enthusiasm and a passion that fully captures their audience! Don't miss a chance to catch The Jose Madrigal Band's incredible shows!!!

I'm 67 and a long time worshiper of Carlos Santana and had already faced that I would probably never hear them again in my lifetime. They were my baby's favorite band in her young days as well. To my surprise, we received tickets to go see a Santana tribute band in Biloxi, Ms. We didn't get our hopes up for them to be any great deal, as we have seen numerous tribute bands in the past with less than great outcomes. Well, let me tell you.... We were totally blown away by a performance from Jose Madrigal and his band. They walked around shaking hands in the crowd before the show which showed us a personal touch you don't often see. These guys and gal put on a show that far surpassed anything I have ever heard Carlos do!! They cranked it up to full speed and let it out in style!! They never missed a beat and all the band members were enjoying what they were doing so much, and it showed!! Everyone there have talents you will only believe once you have seen it!! It took us back in time, back to the days of Woodstock and beyond. It actually brought tears to our eyes more than once. Jose looks almost exactly like Carlos. It was wild, the trip they took us on last night. We have already been looking at their schedules to try and hook up for more. You will NOT be disappointed and that's a guarantee!!
