Unfortunately, the audience did not feel Magic Michael was prepared and very limited in his entertainment capability. Did not read the audience well. I would not use again.

I have experience performing magic for over 10 years, and genuinely do not understand your comments or what you were expecting. I provided your audience with a 30 minute or longer show with holiday themed magic routines, including a seldom seem quick change that is part of my competition act.
I adapted to your changing the start time of the show, your informing me only when the show was starting that the party was not a family reunion as you had previously told me and which I had confirmed a month before the show in the Gig Salad messenger. Most of all I adjusted the routines performed during the show, leaving one routine out, based on the length of time left and my gauging and reading of the audience. The couple of audience members who I exchanged words with while packing up prior to leaving did not indicate to me what your review says.
I had an adult only carnival themed party. Magic Michael strolled around performing tricks to the delight of all. The highlight of his appearance was the human xylophone. Days later and people are still talking about it. Loads of fun. Book Michael. You will not be disappointed.

Magic Michael performed fabulously. We had 16 kids from baby to teen and they were all engaged in the fun. He had some very well timed jokes to go with his tricks even if the jokes went over the kids’ heads. His silly one liners were great entertainment for the adults.

I am a small childcare provider. I had Magic Michael come out for a summer show. the children's ages are 1-8 years. They were very entertained and excited to learn a few tricks.

Michael hosted a half hour virtual magic show for our homebound office staff. The show was entertaining and fun despite the fact it was virtual. Our staff enjoyed Michael's efforts to get them involved. Of special note is the fact that Michael was extremely accommodating making sure there were opportunities for our two sight limited employees to 'see' what was going on and to participate. Michael did a great job for us and we appreciate having had the opportunity to tap his talents as a morale booster for our staff.
Michael was engaging and even helped some of our raffle tables drum up business. His suit matched our color scheme in our 80s decor. He roamed the floor doing tricks, it was great.

Hired Mike to do some walk around magic tricks for a crowd of approx 90 adults at a Halloween party. Everyone that I heard from really enjoyed Mike's close up style magic tricks and he even dressed up in a Halloween themed suit to fit in. We hired him for a 30 minute performance, but he stayed and entertained guests for much longer. Thanks Mike for helping to make our party a success.

Michael did a great job entertaining both our adult and kid guests. He had a fantastic backdrop and put on a wonderful show that kept everyone’s attention for the full duration. Michael truly enjoys magic and entertaining and it shows. He was easy to coordinate with and very kind. We would use him again/recommend him.
The tricks were not much catchy and were dragged too long. It was a slow start and when the actual magic is shown there was no excitement in the magicians face to get the public involved. Public never came to know when the magic actually happened.

Hello Farah,
I am sorry that your experience was not the same as the enjoyment which your guests expressed to me right after the show last weekend. As you recall, you changed the show start time and location on the day of the party, and importantly, chose to serve buffet food just prior to and during the show, which unfortunately creates the distraction of eating and food noise during the show. This added to the noise of several other very young toddlers at your 1 year old son's party, including the one child who wandered into my performing area during the show, and again later when we were arranging the Human Xylophone. While little kids are cute to some people, it is very distracting to the performer (me), and apparently to you too, judging by your comments.
I also observed that the kids in the front were reluctant to sit on the restaurant floor in their nice suits and outfits. This is perhaps understandable, but their standing up blocked the view of some guests, and is not as conducive to a show as kids comfortably sitting on a living room or den floor (or in chairs), but I can't make them sit. In retrospect, blankets might have helped addressed this. Also, a microphone might have helped focus your guests during the performance, but your husband indicated not to use it just prior to me starting the performance.
Again I am sorry you were not thrilled with my show. I hope you will contact me privately to see if I can address your observations further, as I always strive to ensure that my magic and show will thoroughly entertain everyone as much as possible, even under less than optimal conditions.
It's hard dealing with preschoolers but the magician put on a lengthy show and showed a lot of patience. The show was very interactive and the kids talked about it all week long!

Thank you Dana for your feedback. I promised a 1 hour show, and felt obligated to provide that, even if it appeared a few younger kids may have started to get a little restless towards the end. As I specifically mentioned when I arrived, your all hardwood floor would be a rough surface for young kids to sit on for the whole show. A few more chairs, or rug, would have been nice for kids or adult guests.
Also, the Halloween-themed rubber balls that I gave out about half way through my show were a little distracting, and in retrospect, should be given out at the end. Your comment may confirm that lesson learned - thanks! - Magic Michael
Great show! His tricks not only amazed the kids, but had us adults scratching our head as well. Great comedy and 1 liners mixed in kept the atmosphere festive throughout his performance. Only problem was my daughter cried when her "balloon Elmo" popped 3 days later, because they had grown quite close, lol. I highly recommend Magic Michael, you will not be disappointed.

For birthdays, I can help present a gift of yours to the birthday honoree, and for young kids, I present them with a signed copy of a Disney, Marvel or halloween puzzle that we do a magic trick together with during the show.
For balloons, simple to moderate sized balloons, including the favorite balloon animal or character of the birthday honoree or a special guest being recognized or who you just want to make feel special.
You can also expect me to stay a little longer than the typical 1 hour I am hired for, as long as I don't have another magic engagement to get to.

I caught the magic bug after seeing Monday Night Magic in New York City. Thanks to the great Denny & Lee Magic shop and other magicians, especially Jeff McBride and his Magic & Mystery School which I attended, I have been fortunate to develop as a magician to entertain and mystify others with unique, fun and interactive magic.
For stage, parlor or group performances, a formal stage is not always necessary, just some distance between the magician and the group being entertained. Generally, like most magicians, we avoid performing surrounded by people.
The magic performance pieces vary, and can be tailored for young kids audiences, teen audiences, adult audiences, or for Halloween, holidays, or specific party or event themes.
