Magic Thespian | Event Elevation

The Magic Thespian did a great job at our wedding on Monday November 11th! The guests loved him! We will use him again in the future for any events!

I hired Matt after he came highly recommended to me by a trusted friend for my best friends birthday. Now, keep in mind my friend is not the biggest fan of magic, but after her party I think all of us were serious believers! He is absolutely unreal at what he does, and I can’t wait until another event calls for a magician/mentalist - Matt will be the first call! He seriously wowed us all and brought a group of people who didn’t really know each other all that well together in the coolest most mind bending way.

The only thing I would say is to make sure he knows the dress code! ;p

Matthew was a great surprise addition to my clients wedding cocktail hour for 36 guests. We wish we could have had him stay longer, unfortunately the dinner was one of those long speech intimate affairs that required everyone’s attendance. Every guest who interacted with him was blown away with even the Mother of The Bride stalling to get to dinner so she could get her Tarot.

Matthew was amazing and had all my guests at my son's 1st birthday party amazed. Everyone came to me after the party, telling me how great Matthew was. Because it was mostly adults, he suggested a great way to entertain the adults and the few kids that we had. Everyone was happy, including the kids, when it was their time. I would definitely recommend booking him; well worth it!

Matthew blew the minds 🤯 of my incredibly smart and skeptical 9 year old, her friends (age ranges 6-9), and all the parents at my daughter’s birthday party. It’s clear that he has an innate ability to appeal to a wide range of ages in a single act. He led the kids in a “warm up” to get their minds active and alert, and had them captivated and engaged the entire time. He solicited participation from the youngest to the oldest in the room, and jaws of all ages were on the floor.

I would think that kids this age seem to be more interested in the slight of hand, “now you see it, now you don’t” kind of tangible magic. But Matthew absolutely made this intimate crowd of young and old appreciate the magic of the mind 🔮🧠

Matt was incredible! He performed his mentalism and tarot reading event at my sister’s bachelorette party and absolutely captivated the whole group. We were impressed by magic we had never seen before and that provided a safe and comfortable atmosphere which allowed all members of our party to feel comfortable and relaxed, as well as have fun! He took a lot of time with each individual tarot reading for all party members and created an engaging atmosphere that lasted all night. I held a small private dinner event of family and friends for my wife’s 60th birthday.. Matthew was prompt, engaging and easily mixed with our group. Matthew act centers on the mental connection whether he is preforming a card trick in small group or front of the room acts. He wrapped up the evening with tarot card readings. By FAR the best decision we made for the this bridal shower was to hire Matthew Swanson to perform. Our guests were engaged from the moment he started speaking until he walked out of the door....he was so good, we offered to pay him to stay longer, but he was busy. The bride had a ball as did the nine year flower girl....who could possibly ask for more.....well maybe one thing,,,,so many of our guests wanted to engatge him in conversation and readings, the other hostess and I failed to have our cards read! Book him for longer is our advise...and sit back and enjoy the show.

Matthew was an absolute STAR at our daughters birthday party. He did adult cocktail magic which everyone loved. Then he seamlessly moved into a magic show for children of all ages. He was easily able to command the room and the crazy kiddos. Then he transitioned into a bubble show which the younger kids enjoyed tremendously. THEN he did balloon animals/swords/crowns/flowers, which were a hit for all ages. THEN he did 1 card tarot readings for those interested at the end of the party. He was there for 3 hours and entertained everyone. He clearly went above and beyond to please everyone and his energy lit up the room. We cannot wait to hire him again!

Ver pleasant fellow. Related well with our learning challenged group. I was hoping for a rabbit out of a hat though. Card trick a little too long! All in all everyone enjoyed the show especially the bubbles!

I’ve had the opportunity to see Matthew shine at company holiday parties, wow a crowd of children of all ages at a large-scale school event, and create excitement and captivate a classroom of middle-schoolers (no small feat!) Matthew also provided magic lessons for my son, and through his patience, expertise and coaching, gave him the confidence to master some magic of his own! Matthew did an amazing job of engaging children at our event, ranging in age from 3 to 12 years! He even managed to capture the attention of the adults in the room with his skills! I hired Matthew to come entertain my family at our apartment for my husband’s birthday. Our children are 4 & 1.5 years old. He was awesome! Very engaging and fun with the kids, which is exactly what we wanted. Matthew performed many card tricks for my husband and I but included my daughter (4) in everything. Asking odors her help and being super relatable. She had the best time! Then he made a ton of balloon hats, animals, etc which captured my younger one and was super fun for all! Hire him! Matthew was incredible. Before the party, communication was clear and he made sure to tailor his performance to our sons interests. We had a party of 45 people, including 15 kids aged 3-8 and he was able to command the room and kept the kids totally entertained. As the parents, we were able to relax and enjoy the show along with our kids. He left everyone shocked! I can’t say enough good things. We will definitely keep him in mind for future parties!

Matthew was the perfect entertainer for my partner’s 40th birthday! We had a bunch of different groups of people who hadn’t met before, and I wanted something that would bring people together. He spent a decent amount of time with everyone doing all different kinds of tricks including tarot cards, using books, playing cards and more.
