Rusty Pliers, Magician Ventriloquist

We had to cancel the Bounce House the night before my son's 6th birthday party. I checked out GigSalad and received an instant response from Rusty Pliers. The entire process was so easy, I recommend GigSalad for scheduling your entertainment needs.
Rusty Pliers was FANTASTIC! He was very funny and great with large group of at least 25 kids. We even had a heckler in the group (my 6 y/o nephew) and Rusty handled it with humor. Rusty arrived on time and set up very quickly. He has a lot of variety in his performance, magic, humor, Meatball, and balloon animals. The kids were entertained the whole time. He doesn't require a lot of space for his act and he is very professional albeit humorous.

He was okay. I didn't find him as entertaining as I thought he would be. He was very good with the students and getting them involved.

Rusty did an amazing job keeping the kids entertained. They loved his jokes, tricks and of course balloons. The adults also got a huge kick out of him too and appreciated that he was able to keep the kids still and seated for an hour. Thank you!

I am a Cubmaster for Pack 477 in Steelville we hired Rusty Pliers for our Blue and Gold Banquet. He showed up early and stayed late. We had 25 scouts, siblings, and families that he entertained. His puppet Meatball was a hit with the boys. Very professional, entertaining and affordable.

A small family party can be challenging, but the kids were engaged and had a good time.

Rusty did an excellent job preforming for our 300 students and staff. Rusty was very engaging with all of our students from the Preschoolers through the 8th Graders. They loved his Magic Tricks but the favorite part of the show was Meatball. We are still wondering if Meatball is a Smurf or a troll. We would gladly recommend him to other schools and have him back some time in the future.

No words can describe the happiness of a kid! Now muliply this by 40+ kids!!! Mike was able to entertain many kids during a birthday party with lots id magics and his best buddy meat ball! Thanks

Rusty performed at our daughter's birthday party (turning 8). We originally thought we would have 15-20 kids, but it turned out that we had more like 25. Individually, and in small groups, the kids are well behaved, but apparently in a group of 20 or more they are lunatics. Rusty handled the crowd very well and was able to control their impulses with a calm and level head. The kids very much enjoyed the performance (as did I) and Rusty stuck around to make sure every kid had a balloon animal at the end of the party (likely more than he bargained for). We were very pleased with our choice of Rusty.

Rusty Pliers provided a fun filled event for children and adults alike. He took the time to intract with all the kids and made everyone feel special. Rusty provided a good time for everyone. I would recommend him and his puppet Meatball to anyone.

Rusty and his sidekick Meatball put on an excellent show at our annual banquet. His show was entertaining for all and Rusty did an excellent job of reaching our audience. Would highly recommend having Rusty come to any event. Thank you Rusty!

Booked Rusty for a show at 3 oclock. He showed up 2 hours early and started making balloons for the kids. He put on a great show for both the kids and the adults. He then stayed for 2 hours after the show and made more balloon animals for the kids. He went above and beyond what I expected. Thanks again. I would definitely book him again.

Rusty was very personable. He interacted with the crowd and made everyone smile. It was not a canned program and he had to think on his feet. My senior adults really enjoyed him

Magic show + puppet show + animal baloons (from octopus to monkey climbing a coconut tree) = GREAT times for the kids.
He kept kids in the party completely engaged involved and entertained from the beginning to the end. I highly recommend him.

I hosted an 8th birthday party for my son, and invited Rusty Pliers for a fresh, different type of party (how many times can you go to Bounce U??). I was thrilled by his very reasonable rate and his flexibility regarding date/time/location.

He arrived promptly and immediately engaged all the kids, every eye was on him! They laughed and clapped and had a creative, live experience.
RP performed with Meatball, did magic, told jokes and made balloon animals. The party was hectic but RP never lost his happy, positive vibe.

Some of the kids have different challenges and he met them all where they were at- treating each child like they were the only one in the room. He stayed far longer than expected and was truly committed to making sure my son and his friends were at the best birthday party ever!

Rusty performed at our children's New Year's Eve party. Sooo good. The children were mesmerized

Rusty Pliers performed today at our daycare. The children age range was 4 to 12 years old. Rusty's performance was excellent. He was able to keep the kids attention and they really loved the puppet. I was happy the show focused more on ventriloquism.

Rusty is very enthusiastic, full of energy, funny, and the kids loved him. He was very prompt and his non-stop acts kept the kids entertained for a whole hour. He displayed the utmost professionalism at all times and kept everyone laughing, including the adults. I would highly recommend hiring him for your next event.

Rusty Pliers was excellent and I am so glad that I booked him over some of the other entertainers. He compltely entertained all the kids varying in ages. He was patient, funny and totally captured the kids attention. The puppet with him was a unexcpected surprise for the kids and they enjoyed interacting with him. I would definitely recommend him in a heart beat and book him again. The kids loved the balloon animals/figures he made for them. Rusty is a true professional entertainer with great talent and not arrogrant at all!

Children enjoyed the evening. Perhaps spending more time on one talent instead of several in one evening. Not much magic. Some of the stories were over the children's ability to understand.

There was a lot to like about working with Mike Niehaus. He is reliable. He is not demanding. He doesn't need any equipment. He keeps in touch ahead of time.

None of that would matter if his show didn't work with he audience, though, and I am happy to say that his act worked splendidly. The front row audience included a toddler who was enthralled as soon as he made a string appear from nowhere and an older kid who was eager to see through any trick the magician tried to pull on him. By the end of his first trick, that kid as enthralled, too. Mike Niehaus is great working with children. But he also played to the second row. There were enough jokes for the adults standing behind the children to keep them interested and happy. So the entirely audience had a great time. I couldn't ask for more!
