John's performance was exactly what I was looking for: a nice blend of card tricks, humor and personable demeanor. John and I talked at length about the style of our party. He walked in as though he was a guest - told everyone he was friend of the hostess and proceeded to do slight of hand. He ingratiated himself as though he already knew everyone and they just couldn't pull themselves away. An of course there was that one person who was sure he couldn't fool her and he had a plan to handle it. We had a wonderful experience.

"Bring it on, Magic John" were the magic words John Bendewald has his audiences join him in saying before he dazzles them with the tricks that wow and delight----and did he bring it! Our daughter had expressed an interest in magic, having taught herself some trick, so we planned a magic themed party for her. I honestly didn't know where to start in finding a Magician. She was turning 9 and was a little more mature in her understanding of magic so I didn't want anyone that was too cutesy or cheesy. I am so lucky that we found John. He was the perfect fit! He was so personable and chatted with me over the phone to discuss how we could make this party special. I could tell from the moment I talked with him that he really cares. His show was amazing and everyone was not only impressed by the quality and execution of his tricks, but how animated and interactive he was with the kids who ranged from 6-12 years old. I could tell that he has had experience with children because he was quick on his feet in responding to any curve ball the kids threw his way, and he definitely had great "classroom control." He laid the ground rules and expectations before he even began, which was so smart. The kids had a blast! Everyone was engaged and there was a lot of laughter. John seamlessly incorporates comedy into his show, but it's not super cheesy. It's clever and witty and the kids and adults loved it. I highly recommend him!

…he can capture all the children’s attention. We had some rambunctious nieces and nephews in our party of 25 kids from ages 1 to 10. He knew how to easily and professionally keep them interested and keep the show going.

Speaking about his professionalism, prior to the show he is quick to respond to your messages and will gauge if he is the right entertainer for you. For our party he was, and will be for future parties to come.

John performed for us at our Christmas party in front of several small groups. I knew something special was coming from the sound of clapping and cheering from an adjacent room. When it was our turn we were not disappointed. I always enjoy magic but John’s easy manner and light humor really made it ,well, magical. More than a couple of his tricks were real head-scratchers. We’re thinking about bringing him back for next year. If was also refreshing to find him humble and even self deprecating.

Magic John arrived very covertly to our Halloween party as a strolling/close-up magician and was able to make his rounds for the 80 or so people in attendance. We had John come out for a 12th Birthday/Halloween Party for my daughter with over 80 ppl in attendance. John did an amazing job at interacting and engaging with all guests. My friends and I had the pleasure of meeting John at the Los Feliz Flea market. He was such a ray of sunshine and an incredibly talented person. We had so much fun talking with him and being in disbelief because of his card tricks. I still have no idea how he pulled those off.
